Should have done an actual home game for each team.

As Jacksonville takes in a sigh of relief...

Don't get me wrong, the fans make it a party... but I don't know what keeps the universities from going home/home. There are still some nice places in Jacksonville. Yonder old Gator Bowl isn't one of them.

This is retarded. Perfect opportunity to do a home and home and they dropped the ball

Wish it was home and home but Tampa is better than Orlando, which is where I thought it would be if they did two off campus games.

Doesn't have an NFL stadium.

Imagine playing this game in Central Florida Community College's piece of shite stadium

Or the Campers World Piece of Garbage

Make it a home and home series. It will be a much better rivalry. The Iron Bowl became way more intense after going home and home.

"I think it's going to be unique"

LMAO

Playing a game in the benz isn't unique at all. This is just CFB using money to kill off what would otherwise be something cool for the sport and the fans. But none of that matters anymore.

Well.. The Old Gator Bowl hasn't existed for a long time and the two yr hiatus is for the new stadium to be built so when they are in Jax in2028.... It'll be at the Newest shiniest of stadiums

This is the part that bothers me more than the locations.

If the schools are going to frick with the cocktail party just go home and home.

UGA already plays an OOC game in a NFL stadium most years to start the season. UGA already plays a conference game at a neutral site every year. Going forward it looks like "Clean Old Fashioned Hate" is going to be played every other year at MBS so Tech can collect a $10 million paycheck for getting beat like a mule. The addition of a conference home game every other year means one more home game and all that that means. If we are going to tinker with tradition just do away with the cocktail party and go home and home. Nothing is sacred any longer and no one seems to care....attendance may be down but TV audiences are incredible.

All that said Tampa in late October or early November is better than Jacksonville. Further from Athens but the fishing is better LOL....

It's just for the stadium renovation in Jacksonville. It's not like they're fricking with it just for the sake of it.
