With 9 conference games, you are going to see some very good 9-3 SEC teams

Miss the playoffs. Meanwhile, you’ll see mid 10-2 teams from other conferences making the playoffs with relative ease. Sankey knew this. And he still pushed the 9 game conference schedule through. Can anyone explain why?

The Big 10 promised they'd support his 16 team playoff, and then didn't.

Something just feels off…nothing about this makes sense if you’re Sankey.

Stroke perhaps. Vandy just missed it with 2 losses and a Heisman runner-up. Perhaps he didn't realize the playoff committee quit looking for BEST teams 2 years ago. The new rules won't let them take BEST if they wanted to.
