If Tigers win, we're SEC champs.

If we lose, no big deal, just means Bama's out of the NC, and it'll be a little easier opponent for our 3rd NC in the last 8 years.

This will be a relaxing weekend...

Two SEC non-conference winners WILL NOT GO TO THE NC. Most voters are dreading this rematch anyway. They will not vote LSU and Bama into the NC if LSU loses to Jawja.

Only one will get voted in...and that's us, cuz we whooped Bama.

I am sure you'll be dozing off Saturday afternoon if it comes down to a late fourth quarter drive for LSU to try to win it.

To Georgia? Yeah it'll be a big fukn deal. "Greatest LSU team ever" loses to Georgia with a NC shot on the line. I can see the meltdown now.

Computers are a mere third. Humans would take over in this situation and make sure a rematch doesn't happen.

Bama sits home Jan 9th if Tigers lay an egg on Saturday.

LOL...if LSU loses Bama isn't going anywhere. The computers def. won't move us down because YOU lost. For every voter that may vote Bama down, another voter will vote us #1. In fact, an LSU loss would just further lock up Bama's spot in the BCSNCG. I'd laugh if LSU lost and fell to #3 sending Bama and OSU to the natty.

tider04 forgets: LSU beat Bama at Bama. Unfortunately, for Bama, the voters haven't forgotten.

You are utterly delusional if you think Bama passes LSU if LSU loses Saturday.

And you forget that voters and the computers are not going to punish Bama for LSU laying an egg. You guys losing will not drop us to #3. You also forget that if LSU loses, you guys will have a worse loss than we do, losing to a team outside the top 10 with 2 losses. And if you think LSU can lose Saturday and stay at #1 in the BCS, you are delusional. You will likely drop to #2. Guess who moves up to #1? It won't be Osu.

Its a very interesting post kudu. I actually never thought of this. I guess I thought that if we lost, we would move down to number three.

So losing to a division champ in the conference champ game is worse than have 2 weeks (AS #2) to get ready and losing to #1 at HOME. Especially since bama will be sitting on the couch

if serious, you are the only person on here that has admitted that. we lose to uga, we are probably fricked, no matter what espn says. that is, of course, depending on what osu does and maybe vatech.

Probably not, but I wouldn't want to be sitting around all day Sunday worrying about it when the entire country sans SEC doesn't want the rematch to happen.

I really was serious LSU GrandDad.

I do not believe that we would simply drop to #2 and waltz into the NC game. I am not disparaging UGA in any way. Rather, I think that we would be in a pretty bad situation: i.e., losing our championship to a team we are suppossed to beat.

Some will say: "what about Bama. They didn’t even have to play in the SEC championship." But that’s they way it is this year. I think Bama really is in the cat-birds seat. Do I like it? No. It just is what it is.

Bama will never jump us - no one is going to penalize us for playing a game Bama didn't even qualify for, to the point that the team we beat in their house a month ago jumps us...are you kidding?

Bama is SOL if we lose...and Saban himself knows it.
