“Suspended indefinitely” usually means they’re negotiating a cheaper buy out to move on.

LSU is not going to wait for the NCAA to conclude their investigation. It’ll take the NCAA a couple of years to decide on this given the depth of the investigation. LSU isn’t going to go 2 years without a head coach. Plus they’re doing this now to beg for mercy from the NCAA later by being “proactive.” Wouldn’t surprise me if LSU sits out the NCAA too for the same reason.

Wade is done folks. Time to move forward to the coaching change board. Maybe you LSU fans will start listening to me.

I think he'll end up stepping down as well. Very frustrating b/c LSU basketball was starting to be fun again.

If he’s fired for cause, he gets nothing. No way he takes that gamble.

This is correct. I’m already hearing that an announcement could be coming by tomorrow.

And a very specific rung of coaches polish up their resumes.

LSU shouldn't have to pay him shite. His idiotic choices to directly involve himself with an agent and his choice to discuss the dealings on the phone exposed LSU to the NCAA's prying eyes. LSU has had to work with the NCAA for months on this shite and Wade likely lied and withheld information from LSU Compliance people. They had no choice but to suspend him, but they shouldn't have to negotiate a damn buyout to can his arse.

His actions were unbecoming and did not represent LSU's standards of NCAA compliance.

Probably cheaper to pay him off to leave then let this drag on

Ask Louisville how much it is costing them because they rode with Pitino and Jurich.

Agreed. But coaching contracts are there for a reason. LSU could pay him nothing if they wait out the NCAA investigation, but that could be long time. They’ll want to move on from this as fast as possible. Paying him a substantially less buy out is the best play. But Alleva is an idiot so who knows.
