I'm sure I said something similar about Auburn in 2011.

It'll be okay scro.

except scoreboard

LSU has most losses in football > Ala
LSU has most losses in basketball > Ala
LSU has most losses in baseball > MSU (Ala 3 behind MSU)

but yea, keep telling yourself that.

It doesn't make you successful for the future, but being a blueblood requires a history of success.

And here you are just incorrect. Especially if you believe half what LSU fans claim, since it's mostly about refs and cheating.

Still, the LSU program has been in steady decline for the past 10+ years overall. Yeah, 2019 was a good year, but it's the outlier. Outside that you have a freak 2007 NC on a 2 loss season. That's near the level of Alabama during the dark years minus 2019. Lots of hope and disappointment.

Maybe LSU will be "back" next year, but I doubt it. And if you get hit with sanctions directly after, it could put LSU back to near Ole Miss level, where they were historically.

Not to mention - Saban is still here further pushing the LSU decline.

All time losses has nothing to do with what was being discussed.

Grade A deflection.

Now, if you want to have a serious discussion, post Saban, what does Alabama have these days that LSU doesn't?

Name what advantage Alabama has then.

I'll wait.

How will Saban's trophies help Alabama win after he's gone?

You are comparing a time when Alabama was under sanctions and had to hire a former QB who had never been a HC before after spring practice. The lowest point in Alabama history since 1957.

If you think Alabama is going back to anything near that, you're an idiot.

Never said they were.

My point is that a top program with all the resources will go as far as their coach takes them.

In the resources department, Alabama has nothing that no other top program doesn't have.

Other than being the top program in college football history and all the things built in the process?

How about - Not being located on a shite hole Mississippi River city?

Neither of these things matter in recruiting or for future success.

Didn't say they were, yet you compare records from the time period as if they are relevant?

I bolded the biggest part. Alabama will keep hiring the best coaches and staff. LSU lost out on Jimbo and ended up with Coach O.

I'm sure you will, doesn't guarantee success though.

You won one title between Bear and Saban, I assume you were still trying to hire the best coaches back then.

If all else is equal as you claim, then of course it matters.

Hell, go listen to Jim Harbaugh complain about how location hurts him in recruiting so much. And while I'm sure him being a weird frick doesn't help, why would anyone want to play in a snow covered shite hole?

Also go tell people USC doesn't get a big bonus because of it's location. Hell, all those places probably get a bonus because of legal weed as well. I can tell you it's real fricking nice not to worry about having your future ruined by cops enforcing stupid arse laws.

You already lost a recruit because of all the sexual assaults.

I'm sure it matters to a small degree but none of the top 5 schools in recruiting this year are in "destination cities."

The laws or police have nothing to do with the NCAA's weed policies.

That was the excuse given but it likely had more to do with him getting scared off by the 5-5 season.
