really get two teams in the playoffs? I wonder what the committee will think if that point is brought up.

Exactly. Their best win lost to Troy.

Shut the frick up. We have 3 teams as good or better than any league in the country, and 5 that could pretty much play with anybody.

I’m just saying the rest of the country has to be sick of the SEC. A weaker than normal Bama may be the perfect reason that they break from the norm. I agree the top 4 or 5 can play with anyone, but the rest is putrid.

Will a Big Ten that lost its last 2 playoff games by a combined 69-0 really get back in with a 2 loss champion?

It's also sick of one of the four spots being wasted on Big Ten teams that give us boring blowouts in semifinal games.

I doubt they discuss the last two years.

Conference perception will play into the decision. The SEC may not be weak, but it's not the dominant conference any more. That makes it less likely they'll keep two other P5 conferences out of the playoff and include two SEC teams.

It’s not weak just because LSU isn’t involved in the CFP picture.

That’s just one of the reasons it’s weaker.

You see a weaker than normal Bama team. I see a stronger than usual Georgia and Auburn team, and a very good Bama team who won 11 ballgames. When LSU wins their bowl game. We will have 4 teams with 10+ wins. Find me a league that has that.

This. The SEC lacks the depth of its glory days, but it is very top heavy with more great teams than any conference. A healthy UGA, AU, and Bama with a months rest would be favorites or close to even spreads against every other team in the nation. What other conference has that? Stack up the best 4 or 5 SEC teams against the best 4 or 5 of any other conference and the SEC would be the favorite in every game.
