Will the shoot-out in November decide who’s better Tua or Joe?

Or will LSU’s defense which is rated a tad bit higher overall than Alabama’s by most analysts, make it an unfair comparison? Your thoughts, I just don’t want any excuses if Burrow and LSU win over Tua and Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

I don’t know, but hopefully that game will put an end to dumb threads like this, at least until next August.

Your silence on the question is noted. I obviously touched you in a sensitive area.

Well we do know Burrow couldn't generate one score or point on a much worse defense in the safe confinement of his own home crowd last season

We know we can expect excuses either way from segments of the LSU fanbase.

Do you think Nick Foles is better than Tom Brady? I mean Foles did beat him in the Super Bowl.

The answer is no. A single game does not prove who is better.

Burrow possesses intangibles that Tua just doesn’t have. And there is no way a Hawaiian is going to be a better pro quarterback than a coach’s son from Ohio

If we win it will be because Tua only throws slants and Burrow should still win the Heisman, according to LSU fans. Oh and the refs...

Yep.

Slants versus crossing routes all night long.

If it was being played at a neutral site then your question would be relevant. But since they are playing in Bama then the home field advantage should be the deciding factor in the game. But that is no different than if they were playing in Baton Rouge.

So I don’t think you truly get to compare because of that, the home field is just too big of a difference to not effect the opposing QB. If the visiting team wins then you have your answer, but if the home team wins it probably won’t be as clear cut because of the home field.

I still think the better athlete is Tua and the better QB overall is Burrow because of his preparation. But the differences are so small they are virtually one in the same.
