Whats happened to football? All the technology in new equipment over the years and still players get hurt. But without the equipment how bad could it be?
I think we are on our way back to flag football.
Yea Reid's hit was stupid. But had that ball been caught would we be talking about it? It was a late hit and its against the rules so a flag was appropriate.
This bounty with the Saints and the hits on players that are scrutinized so closely will diminish the game eventually.

If you Aggies are that concerned about it, there are procedures the conference recognizes to address conduct which reflects poorly on the moral fitness of a player or his school.

it wouldn't surprise me if they did. it helps protect the team that is currently unbeaten and the best shot at a nc this year. I said it when the ole miss player got sat by roger slive that this ruling could be used later down the road to frick us.
We don't need help to win it all, but if the SEC wants to make sure that the SEC's Golden Boys bring in number 15 I'm not gonna complain.

Lulz at suspensions for late hits.
Not the same as suplexing a player.
Next we'll start suspending for holding. Bama would be fricked.

No he want be suspended for hitting late. If it had been a head shot maybe. But when you are running full speed it's hard to stop. Also don't think he saw the ball

Yes he will be suspended for this weeks game. LSU has decided not to appeal.

If it really bothers you, SEC rules permit a representative of a Member Institution to seek an advisory opinion on conduct by a member school participant or coach which may involve moral turpitude .
A&M folks may not be familiar with SEC rules and procedures.
The panel which issues advisory opinions on material misconduct rotates among member schools.
This year advisory opinions are submitted to The Nick Fairley Professor of Athletic Etiquette at Auburn's Lowder/ McGregor Institute for Ethical Studies.

Agreed.
Is this actually a serious discussion? Is there even real talk of him being suspended? What a joke.

I can honestly say I know Eric Ried personally he is a family guy a great student. He has volunteered his time to come help with fundraiser towards a couple kids that their family needed money to help to keep there kids alive. Signed a tshirt that said "keep fighting like them tigers!" He is a class act.
Sure it was a bonehead play but I can tell ya he is far from a thug. Thank you and god bless

Listen up Faggies. This link shows a textbook late hit/dirty play that is the only kind of shite that will get you ejected or suspended.

i dont know someone who knows someone. i know him. This was the las benefit he helped me with. it was for a kid that needed medical treatment in texas and he came out to support him and was great with the kids and was a nice young man that volunteered his freetime to travel a couple hours away to make a sick childs day. he and his wife that he been with since high school are good people. they have a kid of their own.
