You are basically saying it's a given he destroys the uga defense this weekend. Bold statement.

If he has a solid performance against UGA this week and gets a win I would think he would at least be in the discussion.

For him to win it State has to WIN the SEC Championship thats not going to happen. Yall should be worried about @ UGA & @ Auburn State could be 3-2 quick

Not much. He had a solid game but that's it.

I mean, he's been good, but it's not like he's going for 500 every game.

If Dak Prescott can't win the Heisman at MSU, probably nobody will.

Heisman voters really like to vote for a team that's in national championship contention. It's kind of bogus and unfair, but that's how it works.

He certainly should be considered. He's probably the best QB in the SEC right now. After MSU beats UGA and Auburn he'll get a lot of attention.

You can worry about whatever you want, but Moo State is still not Clemson. Just look what their defense did to last year's heisman winner last night. Clemson is still Auburn's only loss and that was on the road

So we lost to Clemson by one score on the road, but we have no chance of beating the cow frickers of Moo State at home. Thanks for the laugh!

Sports Illustrated thinks so, listing Fitzgerald as one of the 5 contenders:

5. Nick Fitzgerald, Mississippi State, QB: Dan Mullen developed a heck of a QB in Dak Prescott and he’s doing it again with the 6’5”, 230-pound junior. Fitzgerald was fantastic as the Bulldogs walloped a good LSU defense in a 37-7 blowout. Fitzgerald doesn’t put up the gaudy passing stats that some college quarterbacks do, but it’s his total game that is so impressive. He’s thrown for seven TDs (and just one INT), but the really eye-opening stuff is when you add in five rushing TDs and 240 yards on the ground.

He would have to play lights out against Georgia, Auburn, and Bama. Its way too early to hype him now.
