If we hire the wrong guys we will fall off in recruiting again, yea. I don't anticipate that happening, but you never know.
In all likelihood it will fall off a bit - we just signed possibly the greatest class of all time, and definitely the greatest back to back classes of all time.
I think Saban figured out the early signing period thing and the type of staff needed. I'm guessing he'll do it again.

Just heard yall lost Huff in addition to Banks. A Bama poster informed me that your recruiting was really struggling prior to these guys turning it around.
Looks like this could really be the start of the decline for Saban, losing his ace recruiters all at once.
I may be off but I count 21 guys they signed from various avenues in the top 300 recruits.
What will they do if they have to get by with 15?

Thanks to everyone on this thread for confirming what I already knew. Bama recruiting has nothing to do with Saban assistants. Banks, Huff, whoever have NOTHING to do with Bamas success. It is all Saban.
I should not have listened to SummerofGeorge and the other Bama posters who credited Banks and Huff with your recruiting success after your #5 finish in 2018.

Saban generally hires great recruiters. He whiffed in a class of coaches that was remedied in 2019

They are top 3 every year under Saban even with major staffing turnover.
People freaked out about Alabama not having many commits mid summer and signed one of the best classes of all time.

One day people will realize the magic is Saban himself.

Cash and Cars keeps it going.

If they hire a bad group of replacements, damn, they’ll have the 5th ranked class instead of 1st or 2nd.

Unquestionably. I doubt we'll even be able to field a team in two years because of this.
