Hurts got his leadership, talent, skills at Alabama. He took all of that and applied it for one year at Oklahoma. Saban gets the credit. Lincoln Riley didn’t give Hurts anything other than a year to shine before his NFL reign.

I partially agree, I think Riley helped him a lot with his passing game and OU gave him an opportunity to showcase them due to the softer defenses they play against.

Yes, he put him on the bench. Hurts then transferred to OU.

not hard to figure out...benched at Bama wasnt playing.. goes to OU become heisman runner up...

Truthfully most OU fans will never consider Hurts to be a legend like Baker was... 1 year doesnt do it much for diehards. We rooted for him and happy for him but he will never be to high on the qb lure at OU. Just the facts.

I would have to say OU did do alot for him though. He was proven to be a much better passer at OU and not just his stats he looked better as well.
