Will Alabama claim a 2020 national championship if there is no season?

Based on the past, it seems likely. Alabama President Dr. Stuart Bell has come out and said there WILL be a college football season. Great tactic on his end to get out in front of everyone. Now, if the season gets cancelled, Alabama can still “field a team” and crown themselves champions. It wouldn’t be their weakest claim at a national title, either.
OR will Aggie stamp 2020 on Jimbo’s fake trophy as they begin to realize he’ll never win one at TAMU as long as he has to compete against other teams?

This joke/thread seems to get made about once a week on average. 1 day in the future, someone will search for 2020 national championship and all they are going to find are references to Alabama and this joke.
They will just assume it's because everyone knew Alabama would have won it if the season had been played.

We've won almost twice as many National Championships over the last 11 seasons than the number of times LSU has finished better than tied for second place in the SEC West over that same stretch.
