A committee was formed in 2009 to look at ways of expanding it, haven't heard anything since then.

They also added a lot of brick and murals. Now compare this pic to your third from the previous page. I am not saying its better than bds but it is not much worse. You are acting like its a dump.

Are there future plans to expand JHS?
yes, but there is no telling when they will happen. There have been plans for a couple years now.

I love old pics of stadiums. College stadiums evovoled. Always been a big fan of that.

It said 75k people I guessed since the expansion went to 85
I think the 76K is a typo. The two upper decks bumped it to 85K in 1987. It was 72K from 1980-1986 when they built the first upper deck.

Actually never said it was a "dump" but it's now where never the level of BDS as far as design and architecture . And according to the article (this should probably answer some questions for everyone) probably never will be.

The architect who designed the old upper decks of BDS is an auburn grad. I lived with his grandson in college.

The Auburn AD is very much aware that his biggest rival is finishing its second major expansion in the last four years, that Bryant-Denny Stadium now looks like Jordan-Hare on HGH.

k. BDS's architecture is better.
JHS's atmosphere is better.
atmosphere>architecture
JHS > BDS
Don't blame me, blame logic.

he's not lying, it was done by an Auburn grad.
Did they ever get the jersey out of the wall or is it still there?

BDS is too pent up. Way too uptight. Alabama fans seem to cherish that though. They are primarily concerned with winning championships. And they win them more than anyone else.
JHS is more fun. More family oriented. Better atmosphere for a Saturday afternoon.
