I remember when that info leaked. Some Alabama fans were genuinely concerned that the guy would sabotage the stadium.

You should have asked him why the East and West upperdecks were never designed to allow for future expansions to structurally connect. That has always bugged me.

so.....you don't agree with the logic of my thinking that atmosphere is greater than architecture, thus making a better stadium?

I'll admit that Jordan-Hare's atmosphere dies with smaller games. It might as well be a-day when we play teams like LA Monroe.

But when LSU, Georgia, and Alabama come to town? Nothing like it.

How can you even quantify atmosphere? Are we going to use a decibel meter? Acoustics?

quantify it however you want. I would say it is safe to say the general opinion has been JHS has the better atmosphere than BDS (opinion of others that aren't AU or UA fans)

Sorry to take you to philosophy but there are many forms of logic. And your logic is based on opinion which isn't logic at all. Just because you say JHS has a better atmosphere doesn't not make it a better stadium. Just the same way that because BDS looks like Valhalla (IMO) does not make it the better stadium either. I will say that if you're going to listen to Mike Wilbon about college football then you're being led by a blind man. My thing about all of this is I've been to many SEC stadiums and JHS is not on the top of my list. And when I went to JHS the atmosphere sucked. (probably because y'all were beat by Alabama) So see side effects may vary.

I would agree that Auburn fans in general are looser and less uptight than Alabama fans. I've been to a couple of Iron Bowls at JHS as well as a couple of other big games and the atmosphere is great. Alabama fans have more pent up nervousness. Having said that, Auburn and especially LSU have this incredibly arrogant attitude towards the BDS atmosphere and treat it as if it's non existant. JHS is loud and Tiger stadium and Ben Hill Griffin are even louder but BDS for a big game is nothing to sneeze at. I'd also add that while overall Legion Field was a s###hole, it was a damn loud stadium for a big game as well.

I'm going to jizz whenever AU does something like either of these to JHS
