Why wasn't Coach Muschamp given another year at Florida?

He built the team that Florida is having success with and would have virtually the same record as JM.

McElwain reminds me of HDN. He was fortunate to walk into a program with a roster that is ready to win now. The only difference is HDN did it twice.

Will McElwain be fortunate enough to walk into another "ready to win now roster" when he is fired in a few years? Only time will tell.

Because he was a fricking disaster at UF.

And Mac coaches circles around Muschamp.

You need to go back to the Arky board and gets some trolling advice from the pros there. It's for your own good. I hate to see you continuing to embarrass yourself with lame troll attempts.

Your fellow piggies have elevated the bar so it's not really your fault.

Once Mac's team looks soft next year on defense (after Muschamp's players start leaving,) they'll figure this out.

I didn't think you were a dummy. I was wrong apparently. If this isn't a troll of course.

Honestly if Will and Roper started Roid Grier over Treon he may still be here.

But, he's an idiot

What is JM's coaching specialty? Offense or Defense?

If he had beaten LSU and South Carolina like he should have he wouldn't have gotten fired.

If he had recruited the QB from Memphis he may still be at UF. Glad he didn't in the end.

Dude you realize that 80% of Mac's success was from that nasty defense Muschamp built don't you? Lets see Mac 3 years from now when all Muschamp's players are gone.

No shite. WTF are you talking about?

No one has said Mac is the best coach ever and is going to dominate college football.

Some of you are just looking for an argument.

Also, our defense has been solid for years and years. I don't expect defensive recruits to stop considering UF now because we have Mac.

While knighting for Boom and defense why don't you go ahead and give us your thoughts on Boom and offense with regard to UF.

What I'm saying is that Muschamp was a better coach than he is given credit for. If he had committed to one offensive philosophy and stuck with it he would have had Florida contending every year

I don't share you opinion. A good coach would not have tried to run pro-style out of the gates when you had spread players.

That's dumb.

Florida fans are glad he's gone and pleased with Mac so far. It's a work in progress.
