EXACTLY. And in Ole Miss case, the NCAA was the devil incarnate until they take on LSU. For the life of me, I do not understand this outrage. These players were screwed out of the opportunity every other player has been given. They were victims of the NCAA’s ineptitude, once again. They come out with these rules without considering the ramifications. Just like the calendar issue. Why are these talking heads not on the players side? They are NOT pros. It ridiculous to call them that.

Why would a legal expert omit the part about the valid reason for the court rulings? The reason those class of '22 players tried to make NFL rosters is because the NCAA waited until June before passing the 5 for 5 rule. If the rule had been changed in a timely manner, the players would've known they had eligibility remaining and could've acted accordingly to use it. NCAA member institutions essentially denied them, and only them, a full season of cfb eligibility and the court said they can have it back. From a logical standpoint, it's probably the most clearcut college sports ruling in the last 10 years. The new SEC policy is just a roundabout way of subverting the courts.
