Last season we were told we could not win with Stetson Bennett as our QB

This season we were told that Alabama was rebuilding last year and this year was going to be their year.
This year we were also told that we lost too much off our defense and our offense is pedestrian, so we would lose (at least) two games.
This year we were told that we had not played anybody and when we did we would lose bigly.

The disrespect/doubt narrative from the program picked up a lot when UT was ranked #1 in the initial playoff rankings despite UGA being undefeated.
That was pretty much a layup for Smart to derive motivation from that, honestly.

Its one thing to derive motivation its a completely other and WAY less cool thing to then make that your teams entire identity. Especially when the level of "doubt" was so fricking miniscule. Yall were never ranked outside the playoff which means no one ever thought you didn't deserve a shot at the NC. Its Dabo level cringy.
