For me-

16 games and large playoff structure relative to the number of teams diminishes the regular season. It's totally ok to lose 3 or 4 games, you can still win it all mathematically. So my emotions aren't too high or two low if my team is going to lose any particular game. Maybe late in the season that can kick in if your team is on the cusp.

Also, growing up where I grew up and when I grew up, my local NFL team was horrible, never won shite. So I didn't get hooked on it.

Also, I can't "go to college" at the Atlanta Falcons and spend four, six, or 8 years on the Atlanta Falcons "campus" and go to all the games for $26 (for the season) so the NFL doesn't get that connection from people that the colleges do.

NFL is for big city dwellers with little time to focus on being a fan.

College is for everyone else and is fueled by the pride of where you are from.

College football is the greatest game.

Most years I couldn't even tell you who won the superbowl unless a Georgia player was on the team and I see them get a superbowl ring, for instance Stafford this past season. Had Stafford not gotten a ring, I wouldn't even be able to tell you who played in the Superbowl, much less who won. In fact, I still can't tell you who played in it, only that Stafford won, and it was the Rams. I don't even know who they defeated. That's how little of a shite I give about the NFL. And that predates the wokeness.

Do you know how many NFL coaches have won the Super Bowl on their second or third team?

I know it’s weird but you can like both college football and the NFL

NFL is bigger than CFB in Missouri

NFL and MLB teams are just more popular here

I find myself watching Premier League more often than not on Sunday mornings. Every NFL score seems to be 27-24. It sounds like it should be exciting, but it’s not. I watch for players and not for teams.

it’s the parity

It's why BoB is such a bad CFB playcaller. He calls a safe pro game scheme.

CFB is built on talent mismatches and elite playcallers (Sark and Kiffin) scheme GAME to GAME to exploit them.

BoB hasn't gotten there yet.

The NFL is remarkably boring. I don’t understand how but it’s not the same sport as a college football Saturday.

This sounds dumb but I think the quality of the football is too high. NFL defenses are so good they rarely miss tackles
