I think Wisner thought he had Texas by the balls
I approve of this.
If the schools have any chance of getting a leash around the NIL monster it will be by not paying more for less.
It might cost Sarkisian a winnable but otherwise meaningless bowl game but taking the longview is the best course.

The first practice for these non playoff bowl games is the first practice for the 2026 season.
Everyone is in competition for next years playing time. I'm sure coaches will closely monitor player condition and attitude between these bowl practices and the start of spring training.

Lots of rumors swirling about Sark quitting and going to the NFL

Sis 4 of the Texas RB’s enter the transfer portal? I know loyalty to the RB coach can be an issue. Do they not care for Juluke? I know Baugh is on the radar, but aside from Wisner, what gives?

Moore isn’t a great loss. Wisner was surprising but likely multiple factors, not the least of which is we have a new RB coach. Wisner was likely told that they’re bringing some new blood in and he’ll have to compete. There’s a rumor he wanted too much NIL $ as well but no idea.
Bottom line is he finished the season with 650 rushing yards. Most of that is on the OL and Sark play calling but, shouldn’t be difficult to replace those yards.
The part that hurts most is that he was an Aggie and Sooner killer.

I wouldn't classify our WR Moore as "productive." He is easily replaceable.

Well, Wisner is pretty fricking good.

The narrative that ever single transfer player from your team was due to money, which NIL is separate from the $20M payroll, comes off as sour grapes by a lot of people. For every team, not just yours.
I believe most players leave bc they got passed up on the depth chart. Can’t we all agree that every player, even Moore got passed up? He wasn’t even starting by the end of the year.

I don’t disagree w this. It may have been NIL but IMO probably has more to do with depth chart. Or both. But I get your point.

Those are two sides of the same coin, no? You can chalk it up to money or playing time and be right either way. Moore wasn’t going to be featured or targeted or paid to his satisfaction so he’s out. Much like Wisner. Both of these guys would have stayed for their senior seasons and been valuable pieces pre-NIL. I guess I’m missing the sour grapes part.
