Hopefully nothing serious.

He was in a car accident two years ago that paralyzed him from the waist down.

I never knew this. Sad. I think typically they just have him in a chair

Are there ways for someone to be in a wheelchair that are not serious?

Maybe knee surgery or hip surgery.

Appears he was paralyzed due to a car accident. I never knew that until now. I like his work on the SEC Network.

He's been opening up about it a lot more lately.

He believes he'll be able to walk again and that would truly be amazing.

So crazy that it happened in a single vehicle crash going 35 mph

I googled what happened to Patric, and yes it’s serious.

I sure hope he can. Seems like a really good guy. Really good personality and is an excellent analyst.

I don't normally like players as analysts, but he's legitimately good, yeah.

When something bad happens to athletes they are always painted in the best possible light, well he was a model student athlete before he got hurt. I always read great things about him during his time at UF.

Hope he does someday walk again.

He also had an issue with an infection over the summer that almost killed him.

Dude has been through it and just has the nicest disposition. Was a hell of a ball player but seems an even better person.
