They are very similar. Both are proven DCs who coached on national championship teams under the same head coach. They have worked together.

I think Pittman is going to fool a lot of people.
This is a sleeper hire. He is a very good football coach. He is a good recruiter. He has been around football and the SEC for a long time.
He already has respect in this league. That's huge.
