May be the dumbest thing I have ever heard on this board.

At worst even a bad Tennessee team puts 90,000 buts in seats at Neyland.

How many of those are dressed in the other team's colors?

Yeah but the SEC was so strong this year according to every Bama fan. That’s why y’all didn’t play a top 50 passing defense right? Because the SEC just went off against each other and beat each other up.

Well yeah

That’s why the only SEC teams to lose bowl games against OOC opponents were a Florida team that had everybody opt out and an Auburn team with a lame duck coaching staff. Even our 4-5, 4-6 & 3-7 teams were out there beating alleged top 25 OOC teams.

Nobody is insinuating LSU or Ohio State would have beaten Alabama during a normal season. Nobody is insinuating Alabama doesn’t win the NCG In a normal season

If you try think that’s what people mean when they say asterisk, then you’re severely confused

It’s the laughable claims that use circumstances provided to your team by a global pandemic as bragging points. Like muh All SEC-schedule. How can you hold that against past teams who had their seasons in non-pandemic seasons? Bragging about a schedule that quite literally no other past champ has even had the chance to play is smooth-brained

Two games is a lot in college football. Both for injuries, chances of losing, mental wear and tear.

Against Mercer and East Kentucky School for the Women?

I think not.

And mental/wear and tear for this season--no one played two games more than us. We didn't play a team that had to play 15 games. In fact we had to play talented OSU team taht only played 7 games. I don't follow your logic.

In a normal year with layup OOC games, LSU was probably a 8-5 team.

Bad? No. Good? No.

Still better than any other conference did aside from the Big 12 which didn’t get a team in the CFP.

Your argument is circular.

We can hold it against you because you somehow think an extra 2 cupcake games somehow matter. We counter we played more conference games, and there more difficult games than you did.

Alabama's just better. You know it

Winning 10 SEC games is harder than winning 8 SEC games.

Until someone else accomplishes the same feat it will be the greatest football year in the SEC.

Haters gonna Hate....means we are doing something right. As well, mainly seen from LSU fans who see what Saban could have done at their school and are jealous bitches to the fact we not only own them, HAVE Saban, and now he's broken the Bear's record...the asterisk gives them an argument to Saban's DOMINANCE. It's ALL THEY HAVE really.

Yeah that convinced me. A serious amount of opt outs, less ranked top ten wins, no hostile environments, a three week break in November, playing a 7-0 for the title. Yeah this season was totally legit. Lol

It's a matter of just recognizing that the season will be viewed differently over time due to the circumstances and rightfully so.

That would mean more if they didn’t beat the brakes off of everyone they played with the exception of Florida in the SEC championship game.

Right, nobody is going to remember how life was this last year in 10-15 years. What a fricking moron.

There’s that smooth-brain redneck retard logic I was talking about

The 2019 LSU football team wasn’t given a schedule with 10 SEC opponents because a global pandemic was rampant at the time.

But let’s say hypothetically they were. Which 2 SEC teams that 2019 LSU didn’t play would you want them to play? After you provided those 2 teams, please tell me how big and tough those opponents would’ve been that would lead you to believe the 2019 LSU team couldn’t beat those 2 extra SEC opponents.

This might be the funniest post in the entire thread

“Until someone can run through our Coronavirus 10-SEC game schedule, we da best PAWL” knowing damn well the SEC has no intentions of issuing a schedule like that in any normal season

I mean the main point of the asterisk argument is that the season was delegitimized. The main evidence of said argument is covid, covid opt outs, and home crowds. LSU and Ohio State were the games on Bama's schedule where this evidence was the most prevalent (except the Kentucky game but lets not act like Kentucky was ever going to be a threat to Bama). Basically 4 really good players total did not suit up against Bama for those 2 teams. Not nearly enough to make a big deal over especially considering Bama's run in with injuries and how much better Bama looked than those teams

Not sure what to tell you man its the games that were played. Its the evidence we have that Bama is just as much of a National Champion as any other. Weird hill to die on though. "How dare you point out that Bama played an SEC only schedule! There is a pandemic going on! Think about how this makes National Champions of the past feel!"

This is where you are short-circuiting again. You have to quickly get to a hypothetical situation in order to compete with ALABAMA's 10 game SEC schedule.

We don't care what some teams think would happen, we just care about what DID actually happen. Dealing with reality is part of the BAMA process. So no, you are not going to get this grasshopper.
