Why haven't the 2020 SEC/Big12 challenge matchups been announced?

They are typically announced in late May. Anybody know the reason for the delay?

Idk. Usually last week of May/1st week of June. I’m excited to see who Bama plays

I don't know if you posted this in jest, but between LSU and Kansas being involved with this FBI thing, I'd say that might be a factor.

More than likely that Florida will get Texas Tech or Okie State at home.

Texas Tech would be a quality game, I guess.
Okie State, though... no thanks

My bet would be Texas Tech as we played Okie State more recently during the regular season.

LSU is the defending SEC champion. As far as prestige, they matchup with Kansas anyway.

Not without Will Wade and some ineligible players they don't. The SEC and Big 12 are waiting to see how things shake out with LSU.

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but I hadn't followed that closely since LSU had been left out before.
Aren't the matchups supposed to be 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2 etc? LSU was the SEC champ, wouldn't they get either Texas Tech or Kansas State (Big 12 co-champs)?
Or is it just a random pairing? That seems kinda silly, it wouldn't really be that much of a showing of conference strength.

Don't they usually try to match up teams with the conference standings? If so, State will likely be matched up with Iowa State, Texas or Oklahoma.

It's pretty random from what I can tell. My guess:
Mississippi State @ Iowa State
Mississippi State @ Iowa State
