Because they are one of the exceptions to Gods perfect order of elitism and flagship university’s across this USA. All of the best university’s in each state are defined by one word (period). No letters or other names are added which show weakness. Examples:
FLORIDA
ALABAMA
GEORGIA

ARKANSAS
KENTUCKY
TEXAS
OKLAHOMA
MICHIGAN
MISSOURI
COLORADO
UTAH
OREGON
ETC
When you add a “state” or some other insignificant symbol such as “a&m” it is a sign of inferiority and weakness. LSU is one of those exceptions as is Ohio St. and some California schools, but is very rare and easily noticeable.

If any simpleton thinks moon moon is anything but the most transparent alter ever then they are the ones needing help. Obviously not an Aggie, doesn’t even try to hide it that well

There is a poll that comes out at the very end of the season after all the games are played. That is when the season is considered finished and the rankings are considered final.
