If UF hasn't dominated UGA than UGA hasn't dominated SC either.

There's no rationalizing 3-17, its not overblown. Kudos to Florida fans for not starting a thread on here everyday that's titled "17-3"

Good grief

I vastly overestimated the average IQ on the Rant.

Series since Spurrier left -- 2-6 not 3-17.

With 4 of those wins coming by 7 or fewer points.
Hence, me saying UF hasn't "owned" UGA since Spurrier.

A 2-1 record with both of those wins coming by a combined ten points is not what I call "owning" another team. Saban had a 2-4 record against Florida coming into last year and I can't recall a single person mentioning how Florida has owned Saban throughout his coaching career.

It was Zook. It was their chance to completely turn that series back around and they managed to lose 2 games to that dumbshit. And Saban was 2-3 going into the 2008 SECCG. Now he is 3-4 and we have them in BDS this season. It's pretty even. If he was 2-8 against UF like Richt is, then yeah people probably would say Saban gets owned by UF.

So since that year Spurrier left UF, SC is 1-7 vs UGA with 5 of those Dawg wins coming by 7 points or fewer. Are you willing to concede UGA hasn't dominated SC?

I wouldn't call what we do against SC "domination" and neither do any of the UGA fans I know

And even then, the history between UGA-UF and UGA-USC is COMPLETELY different.

I agree and as a UGA fan will not make excuses. We need to start winning this game before we ever think about a MNC. I like Richt and think he is a good coach, but enough with the gimmicks. Start bringing your "A" game and kick some Tails. The rest will fall into place.

But we're not talking about history. You wanted to dismiss the Spurrier-UF vs UGA tenure. Historically yes it has been far more dominating and lopsided in the UGA-SC series. But hell we've done better vs UGA since '90 than UGA has done vs UF.

I said UF hasn't owned UGA since his tenure...indicating that UF owned UGA during the Spurrier tenure. Dismiss?

ETA: Is Spurrier vs Goff/Donnan not history since neither of the three coach either team any longer?

Its hard to argue against straight up head-to-head records. I never get too distressed when SC barely beats a Wofford or a ULL because I know it'll only be remembered as a W or an L historically. And anytime someone looks up coaching records, season records or whatever. Thats all they'll see. The only ones who keep up with the "woulda, coulda, shouldas" are the losers of those close games (ie UGA to UF and SC to UGA)

Saban's national championship winning '03 LSU team lost to a Zook coached Florida team at home by DOUBLE DIGITS. It doesn't mean jack squat. shite happens. A very small sample size of three games in which all three games were close doesn't mean anything.

it's definitely become a mental problem for them, I thought they would get past it with the big win the year UGA went to the sugar bowl, but they failed to build on that momentum and really only one because Tebow was injured and never ran it.
