The players on this team are not those of Notre Dame, Oregon, Oklahoma, the Ohio state teams. These players are largely players that were recruited by all the major SEC programs who Jimbo out recruited. These players are SEC caliber players with SEC speed, SEC strength, and SEC size. This D-line is better than Bama, and better than LSU. Their secondary and LB corps would also be some of the tops in the SEC. They will be able to stop Auburns offense compared to most other teams. Not to mention they have THE best QB in the nation (as much as it pains me to disagree with it). The way I see it:

Aub Oline vs FSU Dline - Close, but FSU
Aub WRs vs. FSU DBs - FSU
Aub RBs vs FSU LBs - Aub
Nick Marshall vs FSU Def - FSU Def

FSU Oline vs Aub Dline - Close, but FSU
FSU WRs vs. Aub DBs - FSU
FSU RBs Vs. Aub LBs - FSU
Famous Jameis vs Aub Def - Jameis

Jimbo vs. Gus - Gus

Final: FSU 38 - Aub 24

Florida State will be the most talented team Auburn has faced all year.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure it will matter.

is was my prediction on the auburn board as well... i pretty much agree with everything you said, but AU's OL vs FSU DL is a win for Auburn.

I like our combo of playcallers better... Gus/Johnson vs. Jimbo/Pruitt... but sometimes better coaches lose out to more talented teams.

Not sure how this is relevant, as I clearly stated "outbid" - implicating Bama as well.

I can't argue with that

Again and again I say. Auburn went 7-1 vs SEC size, speed, and strength.

If the fact that FSU has the same type of players that Auburn beat week in week out to get here is your reasoning for why FSU will win, then you need better reasoning.

May have better players. Particularly at the skill positions. Their WR's and QB are more like LSU than Miss State. Their QB is the best in the game right now.

You lost to LSU, you lose to Albama if they have Winston at QB, you lose to us if we had 1/3 the defense FSU has. They are more talented on both sides of the ball than every SEC team IMO. My OP was to counter the fact that people think Auburn wins cause of SEC speed, SEC SOS, SEC size... That used to be the case, not anymore.

no doubt... clear advantage on both sides of the ball. for auburn to win, our DL and OL must control things... if not, it will be ugly by halftime.
