Steps to becoming an LSU fan:
1. Find any football-related stat, no matter how trivial or tenuously related to college football, that LSU can claim prominence in.
2. Trumpet that stat like that is the true gauge of a college football program's overall success.
3. When Alabama inevitably eclipses LSU in said stat, find a different stat that meets the criteria of step 1, and pretend you never really cared about the original stat.

Honestly, most fans of a college team couldn't care less after a player goes pro. I honestly don't know if julio Jones is even in the league anymore. At bama, I could tell you how many catches he had in every game.

Probably because he is a 13 year vet and just won a playoff game this year. Not much to be proud of.

A ton of us remember 1980 very well. If you don't know what you are talking about you should probably refrain from talking about it.
Once someone goes to the NFL we may follow them a bit, but they are gone. My nephew is very good friends with Stafford. But he doesn't play for Georgia anymore, so why keep posting about him?
