with minor adjustments to division membership?

North Division:

1) Missouri
2) Arkansas
3) Kentucky
4) Tennessee
5) South Carolina
6) Ole Miss (to atone for past transgressions as well as to reflect northern proximity to the more southern Mississippi State)
7) Florida (to reflect what Florida has become rather than geographical location)

South Division:

1) A&M
2) LSU
3) Miss State
4) Bama
5) Auburn
6) Georgia
7) Vandy (an exception made to give this division a much needed educational boost)

These minor adjustments make the divisions a bit more competitive with each other. The "North Division" upgrades talent with the additions of Arkansas and Ole Miss, while the "South Division" welcomes Georgia to the mix while weakening a bit with the addition of Vanderbilt.

Big 6 has to be divided equally. It is why Auburn is not in the east and Mizzou is.

bullshite. In this scenario, all rivalries remain intact while evening out the divisions a bit.

It's a perfect divisional realignment.

Just look at it.

Just look at it. It makes more sense than you realize.

You may not like the divisional names, but look at the divisional membership.

Imagine the "North" with a strong Tennessee, SC, Mizzou, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Florida...

The North would be even worse than the East is now.

So you want Ole Miss to win the division every year? Thanks.

It becomes clear you have not been to Gainesville.
Northern Florida is southern
Southern Florida is where all the Yankees go to retire.

Dude, y'all have stuck by the claim that Tennessee and Florida are down which is why Mizzou is winning. Perhaps that's true.

But imagine if Tennessee and Florida were back to true form and then consider a competitive Mizzou, SC, Arkansas, and Ole Miss together in one division.

That's an upgrade dear sir.

Please. Y'all can't even beat Mizzou. Mizzou owns Ole Miss in conference play as well as historically.

I've been in favor of annually realigning divisions based on the previous season's records. It makes sense. Leaving divisions as is without regard to performance is actually quite antiquated. True, you never know for sure how a team will perform the next season, but realigning the divisions makes just as much sense as leaving them the same, IMO.

How many conferences in college or professional leagues change division members depending on perceived strength?

You say the way it is in antiquated so you must be on the cutting edge because no one else but soccer figs in Europe do anything close to what you are suggesting.

It actually makes sense only to some LSU fans.
