We get it.

UA stuff is horded up by your fan base and worshiped like it is gold. Once it leaves this state it is ends up collecting dust on a shelf until one of you run across it somewhere and restock your shrines.

This might be the dumbest thing I've ever read on here. Do you even think before you post? I don't live anywhere near Alabama. I "prefer hanging out" with Auburn fans? Unbelievable. My friends are my friends, and it has nothing to do with who their favorite teams are.

Iv e read your posts and i seriously doubt thats true.

quote:

My god, do you really think you are that important?

Nope, just smart enough to know that seeing some gear in a random sports store probably isnt the most sientific way of saying "who has the most fans." Game attendance, merchandizing sales, that would be slightly better. But, hey, ive got lick of sense.

quote:

I have never seen such an insecure bunch of fans as Updykes. I have ONE good friend who is an Alabama fan. I like hanging out with him the same as my friends who like Auburn. Some are Oregon fans, some are Texas fans. We had an informal vote one night and the most hated college team in the US was Alabama.

Well frick me running some of your friends hate alabama, they must be the most hated team in college football! Im pretty sure thats as accurate as any measurement thats ever been taken!

quote:

People hate Saban and they hate Alabama for the same reason they hate the Yankees and Cowboys. Those were the most hated baseball and NFL teams. Don't you dare tell me what is true here in the Midwest buddy.

OOOOHH no! I shan't dare! Your perceptions are no doubt the key to discovering objective reality. I shant doubt them i tell1 I shant!

quote:

I live here and you don't. The number one out of state team here is Oregon. Kids love their uniforms and their colors.

Did you come up with this number by using the sure fire accurate polling measures you described earlier?

quote:

Yes, this is a small sample

In your delusional rambling, this may be the one and only thing you have said that makes sense! Congradulatuions!

,
quote:

but it's not inconceivable to think there are more AU fans than Updyke fans outside the state of Alabama.

Objecticve things like game attendance, amount of merchandise sold etc. says differently.

quote:

There is a huge sporting goods store in a neighboring city. A friend of mine works there. He said Auburn gear outsells Updyke gear 2-1. Oregon gear outsells Auburn gear 2-1. Those are the facts. Deal with it.

Someone says something on a message board and now its fact? Really? Of course objective numbers like money made from merchandising says more, and of course, auburn outdoes bama there. Wait? They dont? shite, could your friend that works at a sporting goods store be full of shite? Or could you be running your mouth b/c you are as delusional as you accuse bama fans of being? I wonder.......

Well then I guess it is kind of the same way the nation looks down on Bama fans.

Yes, because actual sales numbers from an assistant manager is anecdotal

It is. Definitionally.

Do you Updyes EVER admit when you are wrong?

First off, using the term "Updyke" is dumb. Just as much as "Barner".

quote:

I never said or implied anything in regards to other parts of the country

You attempted to use your limited experience as evidence thereof.

quote:

I can however, tell you that as a general rule, people here hate Alabama

Its good to be the king.

quote:

They are simply not as popular of a team as Auburn in football. I think the kids also love wearing orange and blue as opposed to butt ugly maroon

I'm glad someone is thinking about the children.

Those sporting goods stores in Colorado and other far flung locales that keep AU gear in stock apparently aren't selling enough to get AU into the top 10

If we're going on merchandise as a "scientific" way of debating this, why hasn't the actual licensing numbers been posted yet? Alabama is in the top two nearly every year.

Jesus. How do people like you manage to breathe? You've yet to successfully interpret anything I've said. Is it the frustration that causes you to just put up flaming posts or are you just that bored?

Hey chilld28. Some people don't have to be ashamed and hide behind some profile name. But reading your post I understand why you do.

It seems like if AU was so popular around the region/country, their 3rd tier media rights wouldn't be half the size as Bama's.

But we sell shirts in Colorado!!!1

After reading your post I now know why my state ranks #1 nationally in average ACT score while Alabama ranks ...? You should try posting coherent thoughts instead of just trying to flame. Just a thought, but if I were you, I'd really try to get that GED degree.
