A trailer joke from a fan of the trailer school is hilarious though.
Auburn's students live in trailers while going to school, thus is the life of a broke college student.
Bama's sidewalk fans live in trailers and come out in big numbers when Bama is winning.
See the difference???

He can't see past his saran wrap windows, so no he won't see the difference.

Those methods were barely worthy of a high school project. The fact that you can't take the article and replicate what he did says it all. Took two unscientific data sources and then mixed 'em. Not to mention that he altered one set of data in a manner that he didn't disclose in detail.
And he rigged all of this to show Auburn has more fans than you. He didn't make up the numbers. GTFO.

Because Auburn's in Western Georgia?
Not really, but we are close to the Georgia Dome, both literally and figuratively. In fact, we have won some games there.
Does R-Kansas know how to get to the Georgia Dome?

I don't pretend to know how he got his numbers, but I do know his data suggests that GT has a larger fanbase than Tennessee. That creates a bit of caution on me believing this data.

And where do AU sidewalks live?

The fanbase outside of Louisiana seemed a lot smaller 12-13 years ago.
How you perceive things doesn't make that perception true.

UA is older, has more alumni, more students, and is generally regarded as one of the greatest programs of all time, with all the sidewalks that go along with that position. There is no possible way that AU has more fans than Alabama. None.
So are all of those alumni y'all had a head start on from 1831 to 1856 still around? Damn, I hope they get special seats in Bryant-Denny.
And you do know that, up until very recently, Auburn was the bigger school for DECADES, right? Bama didn't pass Auburn until Witt became President of UA and then it took him a few years to lower your academic standards to a point that it grew enough to pass Auburn.

I don't think there's any question that LSU's fanbase has grown significantly in its greatest era in the history of the program. LSU was coming out of decade that saw 8 losing seasons in the 1990s. Success was almost immediate from 2000 moving forward. I think the result would be obvious. So, in this case the perception is the reality.

Academic standards actually went up. Growth happened because of an aggressive out-of-state recruiting campaign.

Really? Have you ever been out of state? In my travels I have seen way more Auburn gear worn than UA. I've also seen many out of state sporting goods stores carry AU gear, but not UA stuff. It might be hard for you to believe, but in the Midwest, Alabama is probably the most hated team in the US. I'm from out of state and I personally know of at least double the number of AU fans than Bama. No possible way? I think not. You might be correct in the trailer park world, but not the real world.

You're contradiciting yourself. If you're the "most hated", wouldn't you be more well known?

UA is ranked higher than that trailer park named Auburn and has been for some time now, so there's no need for you to talk about standards, as if AU had any to begin with. Is AU still accredited? Did all that blow over?
Even if the schools have a similar # of alumni, are you really going to sit there and claim AU has more sidewalk/unconnected fans than Bama?
This should be good.

Well that settles it. The AU fan has more AU acquaintances and notices more AU gear outside Alabama.
Your conclusion is irrefutable .

No he is not. AU has taken the approach to market the much smaller fanbase as a fambly, and try to claim that sidewalk fans are a bad thing, that a large fanbase is bad, but a small fambly sized fanbase is good.

Another in a long line of AU gimmicks.

Bama's a great school. Here's one of their proud alumni:
