Watching those players flop for Ole miss made me want them to lose so bad. Glad it worked out for the fighting hefty lefties

The worst I've ever seen. I don't blame the Tennessee fans for throwing mustard at him. He ruins the game.

I think we need to start using the ole stretcher to clear the field unless obvious head injury.

Bc lane kiffin is a punk arse…..not a troll either. The announcers during the game said sec officials went to the ncaa about rules to stop faking injury and the ncaa said no. They claim it would be too hard to prove and needlessly slow down the game and would not enforce rules on it.

So basically it’s allowed everywhere the ncaa governs….like say the big ten as well. Lanes the only arse making it painfully obvious he’s not following the gentleman’s agreement of not doing it

During that Tennessee game:

quote:

In that game, according to Knox News’ Nick Gray, “there were 18 recorded stoppages for injuries in [the Ole Miss] game, including 11 in the fourth quarter.”

Not all of those were Ole Miss players, but a strong portion of them was and from the defensive side of the ball. It even became such a prevalent topic that the SEC Network announce team was debating rule change solutions during the broadcast in October.

The best answer might be that the offending player has to sit out the next 4 plays on offense (if he is an offensive player

I’d be ok with just making it change of possession. If an offensive player gets hurt hes not allowed on the field til change of possession

I'll hand it to them. Flopping while on offense just to save a timeout was an innovation. Especially with 6:30 left on the clock

More flops than points was quite an achievement.

Just shoot the flopping player in the knee.

Refs aren't qualified to say what is or isn't a genuine injury. Even if it's just "cramps" how do you prove that the guy wasn't in pain? I hate it too but I just don't see a workable penalty.
I think a possible solution would be if a guy goes down that he cannot re-enter the game for that entire defensive series.

One way to try and fix this issue is to hold the player out for 15 game minutes. Everything nowadays is player safety.

That works until your QB gets something in his eye at the beginning of the 4th causing play to stop. He’s out the rest of the game I guess.

Saves TOs for the end of the half and end of the game.

. I think the QB would be exempted, especially since I don’t think a team would coach the QB to go down.

Players should sit the rest of the series if they’re laying on the ground. Pretty easy to enforce.

Nothing would make Lane Kiffin happier than knowing a rule was made or changed due to his genius.

He's a world class troll.

So a rule that is subjectively applied to a player you don’t think a team would voluntarily tell to go down? So how about Jason Marshall or Shemar James? They both hit the ground on the first play of the fourth. They are done the rest of the game? That is ok even though you would probably tell 9 other players to go down before those 2? Or can the ref make a judgement call and say “the Florida coaches would only tell a one of those guys over there or second stringer to do that. Jason and Shemar can stay in”

And then they will coach a linebacker to pretend they have something in their eye or that their shoulder hurts. Never lie down. Just hunch over. There will always be a way around it.
