Easily.

TS is not even in the same discussion as JH. Not anymore.

Can any Auburn fan answer to me why they are advertising for 2011 season tickets in movie theaters when they havent had a stadium expansion in 15+ years?

well since you asking an AU fans answer for a universities sole decision for either question, your probly gonna get a Homer answer.

I don't see what the big deal is on the advertising. it seems to me that they are trying to push the brand some to get it out there - some see it as smart marketing, others see it as being despirate - personally it is what it is. ask 5 different people the same question - you are lible to get 5 different answrs - but don't ask us AU fans - cause no matter what is said, it will be viewed as homerism.

as for the stadium expansion question, no idea.

Atmosphere before a game. The Tigerwalk. Consistant noise. Fans staying until well AFTER the game.

It is because the majority of sidewalk fans pull for bama. So, our fanbase is not as large and 87k is enough on average.

Personally, I like it that way. I think it leads to a better quality fanbase with actual ties to the university.

Uh huh ok I've been to Auburn a bunch of times including this year and it's not in the same conversation as TS. The rest of the country agrees as I've never seen Auburn near to or ahead of LSU on any reputable "toughest places to play" list.

Yeah, I sure wish we had a smaller fanbase like Auburn's

Put an asterisk on that. LSU is one of the toughest venues at NIGHT. During the day, not so much.

I've been to death valley lots of times. It can be very intimidating but also very mild.

And Auburn usually is among the toughest venues. You haven't been paying attention if you missed that. I would say the primary difference is that Auburn is more even in it's hostility - pretty much every game is the same. When Tiger Stadium is on, it's as tough as it gets, but when it's not...

We can have pissing contests all day long on why we believe our respected stadiums are better.

All you have to do is look at national non-biased opinions of coaches, players, sport writers and national publications over the years and currently who don't have any ties to our university and you know we're (LSU) right.

Nobody gives 2 shits what either of us say about our own stadiums, that always comes accross as a homer opinion.

Oh and if you REALLY believe that quote I dare you to come to the Auburn game in 11 and see what you think about Tiger Stadium CURRENTLY.

Ding Ding Ding...

LET ALONE for tickets following the 2003 and 2007 seasons...

I can understand an advertisement for football tickets if the stadium was expanding, but these Auburn posters who come on here touting the excellence of the program need to really look in the mirror, or movie screen, for the real answer.

If the program is so successful, there wouldn't be the need to advertise for season tickets. The commerical was clearly not just an Auburn football promo.

Quit deflecting and answer the damn question.

I grew up in Alabama. Neither school competes for fans. You come out of the damn womb hating one or the other.

And technically this isn't true. Most Auburn fans are Auburn fans because they actually went to school there or have family that went to school there. So promoting the school to younger kids trying to decide on a college is smart.

Show me something in the past year that says TS > JH.

I do not think you can. Meanwhile, I can show you where ESPN, gameday went on about AU and JH and how it is their favorite trip and how great the atmosphere is.

Then I will point you to several TV broacasts which noted dissappointment in TS and how it was not loud or the atmosphere they expected in big games this year.

Then I will note how TV broadcasts talked about how loud and crazy JH is.

Numbnuts, I have been to BR and TS about 10 times already. You think one more trip to ANOTHER AU/LSU game is going to change my mind?

TS gets really loud every now and then. JH stays loud in a big game before, during, and after.

There is no comparison.
