It's cold. The womenrz are corn fed and ugly. Midwesterners are too cheap to spend the $$$ on recruits. Columbia is in the middle of nowhere. Shall I go on?

Columbia must be a dump then. I'd be an alcoholic if I had to call that place home.

Actually, Columbia is a pretty nice area....and yes, we do have some of the best/most lenient alcohol laws.

Sometimes I forget how restrictive other states are with drinking.

I guess our coaches just have a different recruiting perception. They have said they don't look at stars, rather their own set of criteria.

Charles Harris (#91, new star DE) was primarily a basketball player in HS. Didn't get many, if any, offers for football.

I know they have said they love the athletes who play other sports too. Which would explain why they don't get as much attention since they are doing other sports rather than going to camps and getting noticed.

The NFL thinks we do a great job of recruiting and I'll take their opinion over sports journalists that only know what they read or hear from other sports journalists!

FIFY

And talk about stink, did you see the reptiles lose to Mizzou last year? And the year before?

And what's up with this reptile crap? All it takes is one little .22 shot by some woman and the MOFO is dead. You need a mascot that comes with a pair. Same for the Gainesville version. Not too tough at all.

My seats are near the visitor's bench. I always enjoy watching all those big 5-stars shake their heads while getting their ARSE KICKED by Mizzou. It is a beau-ti-ful thing!

Recruiting - all that matters is the record/standings at the end of the year. And the players that the NFL say can play in their league. That's all that matters. Mizzou is doing purdy dang good but there is always room to improve. How 'bout those 2015 off-season national champs...vol-tards???

Recruiting rankings matter IF your goal is to win National Championships. All one has to do is look at the stars from each championship team and they are loaded with lots of stars. Mo stars = mo bettah

Didn't he just get arrested again? I thought I read that but maybe it was an old article. Hope not and he has a long career after learning from his mistakes.

Ya he snapped the historic no arrest streak in the NFL a few weeks ago

But it was just for an unpaid $90 ticket.

You evidently missed the last Super Bowl, where there was not a single starter on either side of the ball for either team that was rated more than three stars coming out of high school. Rankings don't mean crap. What matters is how players are coached and develop.

Missouri atheletes tend tpo be more baseball and basketball focused. And they are too far from Texas to consistenantly get top talent.

Rankings matter IF you want to win the SECCG and a NC.

Look it up if you want. You recruit to win championships as a college football coach. Getting them to the NFL is great and helps recruiting but it's not exactly what a coach is paid to do. I'm sure you are aware of this fact.
