You're right, the choices down there are limited; Auburn or Columbus State, though I'm sure most of your alumni go the Southern Union route.

My parents both went to Auburn. I went to Auburn games throughout my life. I loathe the University of Alabama.

I assumed all of my life I was going to Auburn. My junior year of high school, I took my college days to Auburn. Told everyone I was going to end up there.

My senior year, I toured UAB. That tour gave me a little bit of hesitation in my Auburn decision. Not necessarily UAB - but my friends were looking at different schools and I never considered anything but Auburn.

Mississippi State had been sending me information, and I took a weekend and checked it out. I loved it. My parents loved it. My parents even said they had no idea how great MSU was. The scholarship offer that MSU gave me waived the out of state fees and covered tuition. I took one more visit and decided MSU was the place for me.

My freshman year, I went to JHS for the MSU-Auburn game and I was a little torn. I had cheered for Auburn all my life. But State beat that arse 20-0 and that changed that.

Not really. In the state of Alabama, you choose one or the other (Bama). And we all know that state doesn’t have 100% college graduation rates.

Twenty posts? So a quarter of your posting history is dedicated to this shitty troll attempt on Mississippi State?

How could you possibly cheer for a school that hasn’t ever won a team national championship in anything? The most legendary players to come through your school are Dak Prescott and Jake Mangum, that would make me want to throw up. It really begs the question of why anyone would choose to support that school

Oh yeah, I’m sure a lot of people couldn’t get into the shittier, cheaper, in state school. Speaking of that, Miss St waves out of state tuition for incredibly low test scores. Literally begging kids to come.

Yeah, not surprisingly, you don't know what the hell you're talking about.

No one that I am related to went to Miss St. They sent me a letter offering to waive out of state when I graduated high school. So thats not accurate.

Because those cowbells aren't going to ring themselves.

Why would any person from Alabama support Auburn over Alabama?

Same here, I was raised in an Auburn home, dad was class of '74. I grew up in Jordan-Hare.

I was an Auburn lock until I visited State, never looked back.

ETA: But in response to OP, State fans are just made of tougher stuff than you, I guess.

Auburn football has won the division, has a SEC title, has played for the national title, and has a National Championship all since LSU has done any of those things...

Soo.....

Meanwhile, LSU has more conference titles, more national titles, more wins, better looking women, better food, and has the head-to-head advantage over Auburn.

You can apply for a scholarship that will cover out of state tuition, but they dont just waive it and it's not automatic.

Is your father a military vet? Because that's the only way this would happen...because State allows the children of military vets to attend while waiving out of state tuition. It's actually something I'm proud of them for doing.

In other news, I think you just inadvertently admitted that you are a dumbass with extremely low test scores.
