Hey AUCE
I’d be careful about starting topics like this because AU is going to end up with egg all over their stupid faces. I know of no school with a worse history of cheating, unethical behavior, ncaa violations or snapping up players other schools have dismissed for serious offenses. AU once gave testimony before Congress about cheating within their football programs. All kinds of juicy details involving illegal loans, freezers of meat, etc. AU never learns and now they have hired Hugh Freeze. Hard to believe that they can be so tone deaf. And that’s just football. Let’s not forget those basketball scandals. And who knows what the less prominent sports programs have been involved in.
I’d I were you I’d keep my mouth shut. AUs history is long and sordid and it’s definately not pretty. The NCAA should move their headquarters to AU since they spend so much time there.

AUBURN, Ala. -- Running back Eric Smith, who was dismissed from the Auburn football team Monday, was arrested for domestic violence following an incident on Feb. 22.

Wesley Person was a star on the court for years, but the former NBA and Auburn basketball player is now behind bars on a domestic violence charge, WNCF reported.

A former Auburn University football player is being accused of domestic violence.

According to documents filed in Tallapoosa County Circuit Court, a 20-year-old woman filed a protection order against 27-year-old Eltora Sanchez Freeman. The woman claims Freeman abused her multiple times.

Former Auburn running back Jovon Robinson was accused of domestic violence,
In fairness, I think these were dropped or recanted? (Looked it up and the woman recanted)

Pending domestic charges, Auburn and LSU reportedly recruiting dismissed UGA player

ETA
Just to show that all schools have people like this. It isn't some single school issue. it is a personal to the person issue. There are plenty of Domestic Violence issues throughout our society. No reason whatsoever to start a troll thread pointing fingers at anybody unless you want your own dirty laundry aired as well.

Were they accused of violent crimes? Like Jonathan Taylor?

You do know Auburn recruited Taylor after Georgia dismissed him, right?

quote:

Top of my head: Nick Marshall and Tray Matthews

Marshall, I think stole from his teammates, then later was arrested for week in a car in Alabama. It was a small amount so it was a citation, I think.

Matthews:
However, Matthews was arrested by UGA Police in March, along with three other Georgia football players, and charged with misdemeanor theft by deception for allegedly double-dipping school-issued financial-aid checks by cashing them twice.

but a “classroom disruption” with a professor is what reportedly forced Richt to ultimately make the decision.

Matthews admitted to the AJC that he and a fellow UGA teammate had “a loud and distracting conversation” in his Children’s Literature class on Tuesday, but he denied that he disrespected the professor. The professor asked Matthews to leave, but Matthews said he did not.

Children's Literature????

Yeah you are wrong on that. I think the story was Garner wanted him but Gus shut it down quickly. I remember it explicitly.

So who are all the other UGA castoffs these slapdicks keep talking about Auburn taking?

Apparently someone initially reached out to him, but it would seem it was before a trial.

SDS

Now, it's possible that once everything came to light that Gus backed off?

From the article:

Taylor is being recruited by Auburn, LSU and Louisville according to 247Sports. He took an unofficial visit to LSU on Saturday and is expected to visit Auburn this Saturday as the Tigers host Louisiana Tech on Homecoming.

He has yet to be offered by the Tigers, but believes it to be a possibility.

I have no idea. I only know of the two that have been mentioned. I can't vouch for them just like you can't vouch for the OP.
You know me. I have no problem with you or most other Auburn posters.

You do understand Georgia has its own set of problem children, right? Do we "love domestic violence types"? No. Nobody does. The OP is trolling. Leto is good people, and when people attack his school he is going to defend it. Just like you and I are right now.

Don't get TOO emotionally frustrated by a troll. (Saying this like I am immune )

The absolute nerve of a barn basketball fan questioning anyone else's basketball fanhood. How soon they forget that their program was a perpetual basement dweller for decades until very recently.

You are either stupid or very young. AU is the poster program for cheating, taking shady players and having the NCAA as uninvited guests who come and stay for years and years.

Very disturbing

I am guessing Alabama and Georgia need to have players that can put fear into other teams' mind.
