Why do Aggies bring up Sumlin and Les in the same sentence.....
3 important stats :
1) 0-4
2) 1 bcs title, 2 appearances
3) 2 sec titles
And Les did that without a qb one time...... Lmao but you got 2.

In about 9 months, all you same assholes are going to be saying that an NFL club is going to hire him as their head coach. Because bitches be fickle.

No one will say that when you go 5-7 again
Sumlin had his chance for the NFL

Les won with Saban's recruits. Three years ago, Sumlin took over a program that everybody on the rant was saying was going to get destroyed in the SEC, while Miles was running a program that was and had been recruiting at top levels. In those three years, Sumlin has won as many games as Les, more bowl games, has a top 5 finish, and has A&M recruiting on par with anyone not named Alabama.

You must not have the first damn clue what "again" means.

You guys were pretty down on Sumlin in December. There were some quality melts on here.

I don't dislike Sumlin. I love his shitty arse defense.

Had he had some defense in his 2nd season he would have won the SEC West easily.
Had he had some defense in his 3rd season and started his OTHER quarterback he might have won the SEC West.

you should have added "as a coach".
as a HC, I think sumlin shies away from power football to the teams detriment and he has no emphasis for the defensive side of the ball.
these are my reasons why he'll never be a top tier dev I HC (unless, of course, he changes)
as proof of my criticism #1, he inherited arguably the best OL in college football and two of the best RB's. if he would have used them properly he could have won the SEC in '12. or at least scared it. he has the "spread" mentality which does not require either great OL or RB's. that's ok if you ain't got 'em, but if you do have them, it is poor not to utilize them.
and his defense has got worse every year he's been there.
in summary, if he doesn't learn the defense and controlling the clock win NC's then he's not gonna win the big games.

He's an offensive genius.
what a joke. yes, he is extremely good at one type of offense but even then he has been shut down using it.
he's a one trick pony.

He ran through the league in his first season,
Sherman left him maybe the best OL in the country and a stable of RB's and WR's, not to mention a Heisman QB. what a genius!

I think it has more to do with him acting like God's gift to the coaching world while he had a Heisman QB then acting like a bitch last year. No one really had a problem with him the first two years but how you act when things arent going well speaks to your character and he showed his

No dislike. He's over paid and over rated.
Why do you try so hard?

By that thinking Sumlin won with Sherman's players, and has only seen his record decline the longer he is at aTm.
ETA: and I don't dislike him, I just think Manziel made him a lot of money.

dude is stealing money from A&M and gets his arse kicked annually by LSU....what's to hate?
Posted on 3/26/15 at 8:15 am to texag7
Saying LSU fans hate Sumlin is about as accurate as saying we hate Johnny too. There's just no reasoning. Every LSU fan wishes Johnny would've played two more years.
