Why do y'all think LSU is like 2010 Auburn?

This is actually a serious question but why do y'all think this? LSU still has the weapons and the potential to have another very successful season. I think Myles Brennan will surprise y'all and actually get the job done. But, why do y'all think LSU is a one hit wonder?

Game changing QB that set multiple records, won the heisman in record breaking fashion, went undefeated and won the national title against a then-undefeated opponent? The reflections are there, and not any of them really that bad.

It's 2011 Auburn that you should be worried about being compared to.

Honestly don’t even care. I’m excited to see how next year plays out. Anyone who thinks we won’t attempt to maintain a potent offense is wrong. Now executing is a different story...

LSU has been consistently good. But you’ve had some coaching changes and lose a fair amount of players off your NC team.

It’s not unreasonable to assume a step back might happen in that scenario. That doesn’t make you a “one hit wonder”. It just means you have some reasonable questions for next year.

Except in Chizik's first three seasons he was:

8-5
14-0
8-5

O's first three seasons:

9-4
10-3
15-0

I think Myles Brennan surprises everyone and comes out slinging the ball around and torching defenses. We'll just have to wait and see I could be completely wrong.

I dont think anyone who is reasonable disputes this.

2011 Auburn, however, lost 5 games and then fell of a cliff.

True. I just don't really see that much of a decline happening. I think if we lose a game it will most likely be Florida.

I don’t really see that happening. I mean crazier things have happened but it doesn’t seem likely unless coaching changes really disturb the flow.

But I also haven’t seen anyone comparing O to Chizik. At least not anyone with a lot of sense.

Possibly. O didnt even lose 5 games in his first season though.

It happens here damn near everyday.

Dude. We’re losing more than one game next year. Maybe not 3 but we’re losing more than one.

Only game I'm worried about right now is Florida. Bama is a home game and we're in their head. Who knows what happens in the postseason though.

LSU a bit better talent wise all over the field.

But still a flash in the pan year.. like Auburn 2010.

If LSU is as dominant next year, I'll be proven wrong.

Neither of these are necessarily good things

A new Head Coach with a very bad overall record was hired and a huge portion of the fanbase was angry about it. Chizik = Orgeron

Later a QB, who is a transfer, has a Heisman campaign and leads them to an undefeated championship season. Newton = Burrow

I personally don't think LSU will tank nearly as bad as Auburn did after 2010, but there are some strong parallels.

LSU will have a chance to prove the doubters wrong, but 2019 being a major anomaly is the safe bet.

This is false. Most fans were angry about Alleva and his "search". There are always fans unhappy with any decision that's made. Chizik was also garbage outside of 2010, O won more games in his second year than LSU had since 2013.

This is just grasping at straws. Newton came in and carried Auburn, Burrow was here for a season prior and had a much better supporting cast.

Major anomaly?

LSU went undefeated in the 2011 regular season and has won two other championships in the 2000's and played for another. Auburn's last championship, prior to 2010, was in 1957.

No one is saying this, dumbass. Most fans agree that we will take a step back. Burrow ain't taking the field next year. However, the sky is also not falling.
