It's cultural as well. The entire southern half of this state constantly plays the victim and is always looking for someone else to make life easier for them, it only makes sense that this would carry over to football.

To be honest I have met far more good LSU fans than bad ones. But you have a disproportionate number of bad fans...and they are really, really bad.
From throwing players under the bus, to leaving games early, to booing jordan jefferson, to throwing bottles at other fans, to being obnoxious, etc.
Most of you are also awfully butt hurt about January 9th. Can't blame you there though, I would be too.

And gumps have such a great fan base. GTF outta here that lame BS. Gumps say LSU flames over Bama yet Bama fans are always worried about LSU. I have several friends who are Gump fans and they religiously watch every LSU game just to talk shite and try to compare LSU to Bama to make themselves feel better.

I've been to Tuscaloosa many times. Alabama has many great fans. But you have a disproportionate number of bad fans...and they are really, really bad.

Why does anyone try to compare what fanbase is worse than another. Haven't we all figured out now that there are the few from each fanbase that are extremely shitty individuals?
I managed a bar near LSU campus for years and always treated every visiting teams' fans with respect as long as they gave the same. I've bought many drinks for those that braved a road trip to BR.
LSU, AU, FLA, etc. all have their fair share. Being able to give trash talk and receive it honorably is what makes being a fan fun in the first place.

Because Louisiana is pretty unique state largely different than the rest of the country. I've never been somewhere where such a "clique"ish mentality exists, but they are also very proud of where they are from. Probably think the rest of the country doesn't understand them and is out to get them.
