So the LSU team just quit? They voluntarily decided one NC was enough and they didn't want to win two in a row because it would seem like they were trying too hard?
Wow. I never looked at it that way. If they had tried to win another NC right after the one they won in '19, it would have looked like they were sucking up to authority, trying to overdo it, so they just quit the season to show how cool they were.

LSU played Georgia Southern, Northwestern State and Utah State in 2019 so they might as well have gone 12-0.

Thats because ED O went back to his OM days.He quit giving a shite got
a divorce and stopped doing his job.Unfortunatly for LSU he had just recieved a new contract with an extension.When he lost his O@D
coordinators nobody wanted to coach for him.LSU had to throw 2 mill ayear
to BO F`n Pelini a total loser .Thats all O could get. he even had to dig
deeper for the Offensive coordinator who was awful.The moral of the story
is once a shitty coach always a shitty coach .Even with success they will
revert back to their true selves.

Acknowledging that your CFP competition was weak and should not even be there is NOT the way claim the best season ever.
