Read the rule as it's written assclown

No player shall target and initiate contact against an opponent with the crown (top) of his helmet. When in question, it is a foul.

"shall target" - meaning intentional.

I think someone may have been linking intent to why Director Comey said Clinton had broken no laws - she had no intent, even though she kept national security information on a server outside the government's control, a clear violation of the law.

The federal statute doesn't speak to intent.

Clinton compromising national security I put pretty much on the same level with SEC officials cheating for one club over the others.

the way the tackle is made even if isnt malicious satisfies that part of the rule, leading with the crown in this case

Was he though? He was clearly trying to wrap up when contact was initiated.

No, "shall target" does not mean intentional. "Shall target" means targeting by committing any of the listed infractions that would result in targeting, including but not limited to, leading with the crown of the helmet.

You're still an idiot.

No. The issue is special treatment for Alabama by SEC officals that extends to them actually misreprenting the rules to favor Alabama and deflect attention from their corruption.

Still wont answer why the other 13 SEC ADs allow it to happen

Rule is dumb and too subjective. That's why 50 people can watch the same play and have different conclusions. That was targeting according to the rule.

Geez...this is still being debated? For the umpteenth time, look at the white stripe on top of his helmet. The fact that you can see it clearly at the beginning and middle of the hit tells you all you need to know.

Why didn't the replay official review it? Because he is neither blind not stupid.

I figured the comment would have made it here but during the play, one of the announcers said they review all plays immediately in Birmingham and they can call it in or something like that

Shall - a strong assertion or intention

target - select a person or object selected for attack.

He have to make the leap of logic that he intentionally targeted his head.

So they fricked up a call. That didn't effect the game in a noticeable way.

So just so I'm clear this is your Birmingham Conspiracy smoking gun?

This is what you kids are hanging your lil tin foil hats on?

This reminds me of the 100 page thread on Dial's hit on Aaron Murray in the SECCG. Even though it was a legal hit, these idiots whined and cried about that two weeks.

That is not the issue. I think you have already said the same thing once before.

When caught in a blatent no-call - not even reviewed, the SEC officials tried to throw off the CBS crew by misrepresenting how the rule read.

It could have made an impact for the LSU game, right...
