DeBose was fired for going 3-8 and getting caught screwed his secretary.

The next guy was better, but then we got hit with bowl bans and sanctions and he left.

Price was fired for being a dumbass, Shula was hired in April because nobody else was left.

Shula was followed by Saban, a better coach.

So ummm, WTF are you talking about?

How does a modern day team, not on sanctions, have 5 losing seasons in a row?

Plus your last winning season was 6-5.

We are all a generation of I want now cry babies.... when teams don't win it isn't always the coaches fault in a season to season situation.

Injuries, off field, rivals being up or down all play into it. The fire the coach crowd are idiots.... Tamu and FSU should have let their coach play down their contracts... then have your target to improve your program and get them....

firing one middling coach to hire another is insane at these buyout levels....

Gus relied on the hurry up and his OL being able to go downfield 5 yds on the RPO's. When they started flagging the OL for penalties for going too far downfield it limited his RPO game. People adjusted to the hurry up as well.

The big advantage Gus's hurry up had was to wear out the defense. Sub fast, snap it quick, catch the other team with too many players on the field or out of position. Once the rules changed to hold the snap until the defensive unit, the biggest advantage of the Gus offensive philosophy was gone.

In hindsight they should have kept Gus but he had been there a while and had run his course so I get it. The program had gotten somewhat stale.

2013 and 2017 were good/great teams and the rest were decent/average, but his players always played hard and his teams were competitive. They were much better than they have been the last 5 years or so.

I completely proved your premise wrong. Both coaches named Mike that were fired for on the field performance were followed by better coaches.

Those are the only 2, 3 if you count Mike Price, coaches Alabama has fired since Ears Whitworth was fired by in the late 50s. He was followed by Bear Bryant.

We have never fired a coach and ended up with a worst coach in modern football.

You are literally making shite up.

Wrong. Gus only has 1 win on the road against LSU/UGA/Bama IIRC

He would blow games when it mattered and couldn’t be consistent. We as fans knew what play was about to be ran before the snap

I liked Giselle always thought he was a good spokesperson for Auburn but was way too obstinate for his own good. Green should have never fired him during COVID that was just a weird year. Harsin was a friggin joke and everyone thought Freeze was better than the potato famine. Freeze never showing up to meetings and the whole season last year a change had to happen.

Here, I'll make it even easier for you.

Alabama in it's entire history has fired a total of 4 head coaches. Every single time the coach who followed did better.

Ears Whitworth was fired in 1957, he had an entire season with no wins, a 14 game losing streak and lost to Auburn 0-40. He was followed by Bear Bryant.

Mike DeBose was the 2nd coach to ever get fired at Alabama. He 24-23, barely above .500 and went 3-8 his final year. He was followed by Franchione who went 17-8.

Mike Price was the 3rd coach, he went 0-0 and was fired for off the field embrassment. He was followed by Shula, who actually won a game without the off the field embarassment.

Mike Shula was the 4th coach to ever get fired by Alabama. He was followed by Saban.

Alabama is nothing at all like Auburn when it comes to firing coaches.

That was never in a row and we still managed to win 4 bowl games throughout that decade as well as win at Auburn with Jeremy Pruitt lol

We are over halfway through the 2020s and Auburn is 7 games away from having a winning record with zero bowl wins. Yall are so far below anything Tennessee was
