Why can't LSU beat Alabama in Death Valley?

Death Valley is considered the pinnacle of tough places to play. Why does every other team crumble in the Valley and Alabama just runs the place? I may be wrong, but I believe LSU has only beaten Alabama in DV 4 times in the past 44 YEARS.

I believe I read in an article sometime before the 2014 game that said Alabama has a better record in Tiger Stadium percentage wise than the Tigers do themselves. That stat may have changed but it's still astonishing.

To all the other SEC schools and their fans I have to ask. Has Death Valley historically been a problem for your school?

They had the games all but won in 2012 and 2014 in BR. Thanks Chavis. Thanks Ritter.

2012 was an arse whipping delivered by LSU. I still don't understand what happened

The last 2 were won or tied with less than 2 minutes on the clock. Congrats Let's not act like it's been a gimmie for Bama

Hmmm. Don't know. I guess 2000, 2004, 2006, 2010 like never happened.
FWIW, the 2008, 2012, and 2014 games in Death Valley were all in OT and/or were decided in the final seconds.

Alabama has not beaten LSU decisively in Tiger Stadium in 13 years. Meanwhile, LSU has beaten Alabama decisively in Bryant-Denny in: 2001 and 2003 and beaten them in closer games in 2005, 2007, and 2011.

Jordan Jefferson beat Alabama in Death Valley

Then the next year, he beat Alabama at Bryant-Denny

So nothing to do with Jennings completing 30% for 76 yards?

Chavis couldn't coach the offensive too

Uh, no. Go back and look at the game. Bama was up 14-3 at the half and moved the ball early in 3rd qtr. LSU played beast mode from mid 3rd qtr until final drive, but they didn't dominate the GAME.

You lost. Bama stopped you (with help from your offensive playcalling) late in the 4th and then methodically moved it down the field on Chavis' D on the final drive.

LSU dominated that 2012 game outside of the 2 minutes before each half ended. Thanks Chavis

What about the 6 minute, 92 yard drive that started with 14 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter and ended with a TD with 8 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter? That count?

LSU played great that day, but "dominated" is not a word I would think any objective fan would use.
