That must be comforting.

Bama will make the playoffs

LSU will have an Outback Bowl type season. Sugar Bowl if they get a couple of breaks.

Actually all the titles in that time span are. Beating a middle of the road SEC team every year, not so much.

Its not like Pruit hasn't been in the organization before. He was originally being groomed for this spot. He got impatient when Kirby didn't take a head coaching job earlier. He burned some bridges with his departure, but all has been forgiven and he is better off with the outside experience.

No way they get through
LSU
OM
Arky
Tenn

With only one loss

We did last year.

LSU - Reports coming in on Harris aren't so favorable so LSU may not be any better than last year

OM - Lost RN, DN, Tread and Tunsil. They have Kelley, but their losses may be too much to overcome Bama this season

Arky - They lost their QB, TE and RB. I'm sure they lost some key vets on defense as well.

Tenn - Butch is the coach and will figure out how to hand it to Saban

Bama fans are arrogant enough without you having to put words in our mouths.

So, in other words we return 20 guys who saw the field last year

keep moving the goal posts you fricking wizard

A lot of those 20 guys got a good amount of PT in the post season against strong competition. In the SECCG/semifinal/NC Game. Various defensive packages gave them good exposure in a highly competitive game time setting.

I would think Bama is due for a season when things just don't go right. Will that be this season? Time will tell, like it always does. Bama has got a bunch to replace and until we see the product, we're all in the dark.

Now it's amazing how many successful seasons Bama/Saban have put together since 2008. It's very tough to be very successful year to year with the parity within CFB today. Thrown in the fact, Bama plays in the SEC West, which is the toughest conference in CFB lately, this Bama run might be one of the best of all time. What Saban has done at Bama is so historic, I've gotta pitch myself sometimes to see if I've been dreaming the last 8 years.

Enjoy the ride Bama fans!!!!
Runs like this don't happen to everyone.

When was the last time they faced such a tough schedule with question marks?
Last year when we had the preseason #1 hardest schedule in the country and still won it all.

Smart provided a lot of continuity over the years. They had tons of other staff changes, but never lost Smart. That kind of experience within a management setting doesn't get replaced right when a new guys walks in the door.

That's a valid point but Pruitt has worked for Saban before so he won't be in for a culture shock. He also ran the same system when he was at UGA and FSU so there won't be a learning curve for him or the players. Losing a guy like Kirby Smart definitely has the potential to be a problem but I expect a pretty smooth transition. Actually, I expect this year's defense to be better overall than last year because of the experience in the secondary.

I've seen multiple post mentioning bama starting three freshmen DBs.

Can you name them? There's Humphrey and Fitzpatrick. Who's the third one?

Then bet the under on the 9.5

Bet on Lsu - ?

Although if you had any sense you'd wait til prior to the game when you can get L5u +5.5-7.5 points.

Bama will be favored over a 2 loss LSU team.

@Au and @UF or OM.

Then a loss to Bama and @Ark ...finish 8-4 with Les still the coach cause he owns the Ad

The returning experience on the front seven isn't even close to what the '15 team returned.

Returning secondary in '15 was also more experienced but, not by as much as the front seven.

I'm not predicting any problems for Alabama this year, just to be clear.

I just think if there are problems it'll be in the coaching transition and not with their talent on the field.

If they don't win the SEC again I'll be surprised.
