Nice try. If you and your fellow corndogs don't acknowledge that Von Miller > Johnny Manziel, you are not allowed to apply that standard to anyone else.

The real answer is the arrogance embedded in the state's premier programs. Everything those schools do is centered around unearned arrogance, false bravado, and selling hype over results. All hat, no cattle as they like to say....

This has to be part of the reason why the state of Texas has produced so much QB talent, NFL talent, and none have attended UT. They poison themselves

They tried to build a wall around Texas but didn't work out.

JF and Von Miller have nothing to do with Mike Singletary. Singletary is the best player ever for the Bears.

Yes. That same Baylor.
You want so hard for those to be quality wins.

The truth is, though, Baylor's recruiting classes since 2015 average rank is 44th.

That is not elite competition.

In the SEC, 10-12 teams are in the top 25 classes for recruits every year, with usually 6-7 schools being in the top 10.

OU backed into the playoffs. Nobody outside Oklahoma really wanted them there. Everyone is tired of OU being a big fish in a small pond only to fail miserably on the big stage when they have to play against teams that have honed their skills against the best competition.

"The hardest schedule of all time is over."

Why do Aggies always have to talk in superlatives?

Texas is lost.

It’s been 80 years since anyone outside of UT was elite. Until they quit stumbling around don’t expect it to change.

Short answer, leadership & commitment.

There are amazing defensive players in Texas and amazing coaches and schemes. Offenses at all levels of football are ahead of defenses currently. That’s not a Texas problem. The big Texas universities just aren’t going to get elite defensive players because those players want to go where they can win big games and go to the nfl. It’s a negative cycle that the Texas universities are in right now. Hell, Alec Bryant from Shaddow Creek is a beast and LSU just didn’t have room for him but he would have been a great fit at Texas or A&M but dude is going to Virginia Tech instead. Some of LSU’s best defenders (Delpit, Chaisson, Vincent) are from Texas. The dudes are definitely in the state, just got to get them

This is the correct answer.

Listen to all of the arrogance and bluster that comes out of their two premier programs on a yearly basis and compare that to the decisions they make. The arrogant desire to be great at those schools always outpaces the action-plan to make it happen.

A&M went out and hired a coach for $75,000,000 who had just gone 5-7 and had lost the support of his administration, his fanbase, and his players, and had just wrecked an entire program. Why? Because he won a natty once with Jameis Winston.

Texas went out and hired a cheesy low-rent coach for $5,000,000 per year who's socially awkward, arrogant as hell, likes to brag about mensa, and had four losses in his final season at Houston, simply because he beat OU. Watching Herman down at Texas makes me cringe. He's a complete fish out of water down there.

The arrogance and bluster always masks the deep seeded incompetence underneath. That's what the problem is down in TX.

Correct. There's nothing wrong with the talent in the state of TX. They go out of state because of the perpetual dumpster fires that are the state's premier programs.

Aggies and truth don't go hand in hand. You guys are the master in mental gymnastics. You guys just run out of time. You guys try to find meanings in things people find laughable. You are free to be a cult. You do you.

Surely somebody at A&M had to hear about this idea and tell the guys to pimp the breaks because they are setting themselves for such a painful epic fail. A&M admin either a. Pure denial and epic ignorance of reality or B. A UT fan is in your admin and knew this would eventually be hilarious.
