They’re tired of Bama whooping arse for a decade and a half.

Sorry for partying, I guess.

Bama has no legitimate claim to being in this so called playoff.

The reality is that the moment we mercy kneeled Bama in their own house, we controlled our own destiny. The second OU pulls off a disgusting 75+ yard drive to come back and win in the final minute, Bama and Texas’ fates were yoked together.

Either we both win out and win our divisions and hang together or we will assuredly have hung alone, out to dry, as the ole adage goes. Every week Bama escaped death and won we looked better and every week we did the same; they did as well. I was low key rooting for Bama all year post-week 2 because I realized a rising Bama lifts the UT boat— Bama regressing diminishes the win.

My fear going into championship weekend was Oregon. How quickly we all forgot about them as the chaos element. I saw a situation where the committee was in love with Oregon as the number 4 along with undefeated Georgia, UM, and FSU. That would have been a CFP that kept the playoffs hands more or less clean as the (in hindsight, unearned) Oregon love was telegraphed for 3 months.

So Oregon lost and then Bama did the unthinkable and beat the dynastic Dawgs. Even rooting for Bama, I honestly thought UGA rolled by 10+. Call me short term unimpressed with what I saw in the Iron Bowl and haven’t watched much of Georgia this year.

An SEC champ is ipso facto a shoe-in for a playoff spot, but only because it’s been a historically dominant team. Undefeated for sure, but if one loss, that loss has to be better than any of the games on Bama’s schedule this year, except maybe OM as it turned out.

The fact that TEXAS is Back! opened the door to Bama, because that loss for the 1-loss SEC champ to a blue blood 1-loss Big12 champion who is peaking at the right time, well…Bama fans you are welcome. And a hearty thank you to Bama as well.

The start of a beautiful conferenceship, to poor aggys hilarious dismay as we win the natty this year.

Hook ‘em and God Bless Texas.

So OU is better than Texas? They should stay ahead of Texas clearly.

Simply beating Bama doesn’t earn you a playoff spot. I mean I get it’s a huge achievement but you have to beat other quality teams outside of one opponent in order to get in.

Alabama beat the committee’s no. 1 team. I can’t figure out why you ppl don’t get that’s a big deal on the last weekend of CFB.

This should be sticked to the TOP of the SEC forum for the next month.

ACC was against having a 12 team playoff for 2023. Now, they want to whine and moan.

FSU should be the THIRD SEED, not the 12th. Your argument is a disgrace.
