I think you underestimate how hard it is to kick field goals. An extra point is a hard kick for a lot of people.

Ford ran it in the end zone right before that but it got called back. When was the last time A&M has won anything ?

Mizzou was over rated to begin with and based their BCS/SEC worthiness on beating some good teams. Both of the teams that Mizzou beat had already played a brutal schedule and had several key injuries on both sides of the ball.

I hope you're not counting UF as the injured team. Because Florida barely beat an injured Mizzou 14-7 in 2012. That's why I knew a healthy Mizzou would beat Florida no matter if UF was injured or not. Not going to have many games with Mizzou only scoring 7pts. UF got lucky in 2012. This year Mizzou scored a lot with a BACKUP/2nd string QB playing. Imagine if Franklin was in there vs UF this year.

An injured 2012 Mizzou was a total of about 10 or 11pts from being a 4-4 SEC team. Remember this team was more banged up than any SEC team this year. You lose a lot of your starting OL, QB hurt/not playing, best RB out, not many SEC teams will win. Barely loss to Vandy and UF in 2012. So I don't see why people didn't expect a healthy Mizzou to be better this year.

But we want to bring up the injury excuse for other SEC teams. That's why people laugh at the SEC, that's why Mizzou is still a top 10 team even with a loss. If you're making excuses for SEC teams losing to Mizzou then you better pray to god teams like Texas, Oklahoma, Okla St don't come to the SEC. And I doubt if you want to see a Clemson and FSU in the SEC if you cry about a Mizzou team beating "injured" teams but didn't give that same exact excuse for Mizzou in 2012. That's some weak arse excuses.

What did Bob Stoops say. Only about 2-3 good teams in the SEC. TAMU proved that shite last season. Now people want to use Mizzou's non conference schedule and other teams injuries. SEC is not deep as people expect. Yes you have 2-3 dominant teams, that's it. Bama, LSU, Florida, Auburn are the ones carrying the SEC.

he missed that kick because teh holder placed the ball with the laces facing the kicker. the holder should be blamed

it's not really even the kicker's fault, the laces weren't out...it's the anxious holder's fault.

No excuse for the absolute losers posting that crap to twitter, especially when they'd never say that stuff to his face. The kicker is bad. This was not his first miss. He's missed a couple PAT's and a number of FG's already this year. So he is bad and we need to find someone better but he didn't cost us the game so it's stupid to blame him for the loss.

Off the top of my head:

-Sitting on the clock with just shy of a minute left.
-Not figuring out how to stop a simple screen pass
-Penalties that earlier take you out of FG range
-Allowing a 4th and goal conversion from the 15
-WR's dropping passes
-QB throwing for under 50%
-Changing the play calling in the second half

Basically, a team effort to pissing the game away, not just the kicker, no matter how bad he is.

SC and UGA would beat Mizzou 9/10 times with no injuries on either team and UF would beat Mizzou 65% of the time.

Kickers should relish the opportunity to win a game for the team; it's a rare opportunity. Nevertheless, they shouldn't be blamed for it coming to that point.

So you're saying that playing tougher OOC teams and tougher conference games all together doesn't matter and affect the health of your team?

Mizzou will lose two out of their next four games, "BANK IT!"

If Mizzou had already played the schedule that UGA, SC and UF had played then they would have more injuries than they do now and would not have the wins that they currently have. That's not just my opinion, that's a fact.

Hell just in the second conference game Mizzou already lost their QB. I'm not sure how many other players are hurt after the SC game.

After the season's over go back and look how many Mizzou players got hurt before and after conference play.

It's just logic that if you play tougher teams/defense then your players have a better chance at getting hurt.

Two. Franklin and cornerback Gaines. Not aware of losing anyone to the SC game.

What's false about that. People act like the Middle Pack SEC teams can go into the ACC, Big 12, Pac 12, etc and dominate. lol.

Yes you have Bama, Florida, Auburn, LSU winning titles for the SEC. But doesn't mean the middle tier teams can just go to another conference, start winning and win national titles.

Our strength of schedule isn't really low. We've played the same or more conference games as 7 SEC teams. We've played 1 less conference game than the rest. So the argument is wrong. Not so hard to understand that.

Relying on kickers in college doesn't pay off. Mizzou lost that game giving up that 4th down and then not scoring a td when they got close.

Whatever you say.

Atleast your conference schedule makes up for it that's why I think Mizzou drops two more games.

Mizzou is just now getting to the meat of their schedule.

Yeah Mizzou made it past some good but "beat up" teams. IMO Mizzou will lose to OM, aTm, and very possible drop one against UT or UK. Not saying it will happen but by the time you guys finish out the next two games who knows what players will be playing and Mizzou is not deep at all.

It will be interesting to see how the Mizzou players react next Saturday after the loss.
