LSU is a big game because LSU is generally a good team. Arkansas and State aren't big games because they generally aren't good teams.
There is a difference in a rival and a big game that is played every year, in my opinion, and Alabama/LSU falls in that 2nd category (at least for me). I want Tennessee and Auburn to lose at every sporting event they lace up for. I don't feel that way about LSU at all.

I think there are some general attitudes/cultures within different fanbases that are different, but for the most part most fanbases in this conference are made up of similar types of people. The fringes are bigger in some than others, but the "typical" fan is pretty similar.

I will add that some Alabama folks (mainly on this message board, none that I know in real life) maintain that they don't see LSU as a rival but 100% treat them in the same way I described my feelings towards Tennessee/Auburn.
I dunno if it's all because of this message board, they live in South Alabama and around LSU folks more or what, but there is definitely a segment of our fanbase who sees LSU as a rival in every sense of the word. I live in Atlanta, so I have very little interaction with LSU folks compared to Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia and even Florida or Clemson people.

I never had disdain for LSU until O.
Alabama has its own lower class woman beating fans who couldn't experience a modicum of success in life and handle it in a professional and classy way. LSU took one of these clowns and made him your head coach. It's like if a Finebaum caller replaced Saban.
