You also need to look at what each one started with. Willie was handed the keys to a Porsche while CTG was given the keys to Honda Accord. Willie took the #4 ranked D and dropped them to #38 while CTG took over the #38 D and had them ranked higher except for his last year.

But give me Pruitt all day long.

I disagree. I think UGA has a ton of weapons on offense. Having Gurley 100% pounding the rock helps. Don't forget about Marshall, Chubb, and Sony. If Gurley goes down this year, our RB situation (not proven other than Marshall) looks much more promising than last years group.

Marshall is capable of filling in pretty well if Gurley went down, he's very solid. I guess the OL for ya'll should be fine this year as well.

The OL is the only real question mark for me on offense and only 2 positions (both guard spots) give me any pause. We should be fine at center with Andrews starting for his third year. I'm confident in Theus switching to LT from RT after starting two years there. Houston was finally declared eligible last year and saw much needed game experience after starting 6 games and playing substantially in all. I'm fine with him at RT. Pyke and Kublanow are the two most talented guys, IMO, at guard and have to step up. Even if one of them falters, the next two in line at guard are seniors, Beard and Dantzler. Beard has starting experience.

We finally have depth up front.

I'm actually more excited to see Chubb and Michel this year. I think Chubb will be an absolute stud.

I suppose. We had a very inconsistent OL, sometimes dominant sometimes terrible. They don't have to be great, just enough to give Gurley and the RB's space and Mason a few seconds to throw.

You are confusing running the football and running the football when the defense knows you want to run the football.

Gurley is at another level than all of the rest. Don't fool yourself. We don't win the conference if we can't command about 35 rushing TDs. With Gurley down, it isn't going to be at that elite level we need to win the toughest conference in the country.

Smith has not had the GA camp in the last few years but it is coming back! Probably hosted by our school! Coach Smith is a great coach and Mr Cox is a freak of an athlete.

Sorry about the wrestling side convo in this thread

As far as the east race goes I feel like for the first time in a few years that the UGA/scar game may actually decide the division winner.

Mizzou or Florida wouldn't be a shocker either

Georgia has a bye week before South Carolina. Spurrier has lost 100% of the time to teams that have taken a week off before playing them in the last 7 years.

It's not... We didn't have a bye week last year before SC, LSU didn't in '12, UF didn't in '12 etc...etc...

I don't think you're interpreting the stat correctly. It's not saying his only losses have come after the other team has a bye. Just that when teams do have a bye before playing USCe, they win. I have no idea if that's true or not.

Not sure that's accurate. I'd have to see that proven to fully accept it as fact.

It's true. What's more baffling is that South Carolina has only had to play one team in the last 7 years that has had 2 weeks to prepare.I'm pretty sure they lost that one too.
