When did Kragthorpe become a great quarterback coach? Who has he coached that has been successful, I remember him at tulsa and louisville but don't remember a quarterback he has coached that was any good.

I'm not saying he is great, but would you prefer Kragthorpe running the O or Miles?

Davis.

Krags will get no carries.

Davis was the real deal.

So you aren't concerned that your OC had to step down? Not flaming, just wondering who will really be running the LSU O and calling plays?

noone will have any idea until LSU plays a few games how the Kragthorpe step down will affect the offense.

Replacing Davis will be tough, i think we can all agree there. I read a Petrino quote the other day talking about giving him 20-25 carries a game and managing third downs. Dennis Johnson is a good back, i remember him having an impressive game against UF a couple years ago, but Knile is a first rounder. Probably the best player on that team, definitely the most important player on the offense.

I have some LSU friends who are a bit more rational than the ranters, and they seem very concerned that Miles will now be running the Tiger O. They seem to think that he will run run run, and play to the level of the opposing team. However the Tiger ranters say everything is just splendid and LSU will be great...blahblahblah, etc.

This has been discussed by the coaching staff and team on the radio all week. Coach Stud will call the plays on gameday. Kragthorpe will have a heavy hand in the offensive schemes and game planning and Miles will have authority to overrule plays just like any normal head coach. I work with a former player who was an All-SEC offensive lineman on the 2007 National Championship team. He still talks to the coaches and players and from talking to him about the situation, I feel just as confident as I did before the announcement was made about Kragthorpe stepping down.

Davis is the bigger loss without a doubt.

I agree with you, oklahogjr. This question is comparing a known significant contributor and an unknown commodity.

Before the season starts, the reasonable guess is Davis is the bigger loss.

At it sucks cause i really enjoyed watching him play.

ACtually this is a very good point kind of.

No one will ever know how it affected LSU because in all reality Krags never actually called a game as offensive coordinator. Spring games don't count so you really have no body of work to compare it and say whether or not his stepping down affected the Tigers.

He is the head coach so he has input.

Not a bad idea.

Wait, who are the ranters in this scenario?

They are.

Wait, what did I miss?

I could have sworn I just saw Kragthorpe on TV today practicing with Jordan Jefferson.

1. i doubt you have any LSU friends
2. your supposed LSU "friends" are not well informed if they think Miles is running the O all by himself
c. even if he is...Miles has been an OC before

I think the piggies in this thread are just ignoring everything we say to them.

Miles has already said that Krags will still be heavily involved with gameplanning and will be in the box with Stud giving input on every play. Miles still reserves the right to change the plays that are called from the box, as do most head coaches. Krags "stepping down" was more or less precautionary and to relieve some of the pressure he faced. This will just be a way to prepare Stud in real time incase Krags illness progresses and is no longer able to be apart of the team.

So to answer the proposed question, losing last years SEC leading rusher for the season will undoubtedly be the bigger loss.

Deal with it

How?. I am on record of wishing the best for Knile. Just cause you get called out on a shitty flame, you need to lean how to deal with the answers.

You are a fricking idiot. Your thread is a lame arse flame.

DEAL WITH IT.
