Charlie Strong would be a good candidate.

Ross Dellenger of Sports Illustrated reported it this way: “There is a somewhat obvious choice on #LSU’s staff for Joe Brady’s replacement: analyst Jorge Munoz, the former Cajuns offensive coordinator who worked closely this season with Joe Burrow and the offense.

May be a good choice? But, just because some coach worked “closely” with another coach doesn’t necessarily mean that coach is as competent.

You asked and I answered. I don't know any more than you do at this point. But last year at this time, no one knew who Joe Brady was either.

He's a good coach. Would he make a good/great OC? Who knows, but we have been hitting bombs on our unknown/initially underwhelming hires here lately.

The fact that LSU has annihilated Georgia the last couple years means no matter who they hire they will still skull frick Georgia.

Jorje Munoz.

Highly respected, almost got the Oregeon OC gig, QB coach that had a ton to do with Burrow's transformation.

He was/is up for the OC job in Oregon. It was also Munoz, not Brady, who hosted 5* Caleb Williams on his visit to LSU.

Yeah, what happened last year or 10 years ago always predicts the future. Great analysis. Apply that reasoning to your team dumbass

Same thing people said about Brady when he was hired

Considering he hasn't left yet..... Probably no short list at this point.

Jorje Munoz.

He's a solid choice. He can settle into place with Coach E as the OC and when E retires step into the OC job. He has a lot of familiarity with the program and the recruiting territory.

Coming off one of the greatest offensive seasons in LSU history do you want to bring in someone completely new from a different system or promote from within? If you have someone good on tap I'd stay in house.

Didn’t say he wouldn’t be a good hire, just that working along side Brady may or may not make him successful. Time will tell.

It is humorous how all year the "Rant" has been talking about LSU's defense is atrocious, horrible "Vandy put up 38, Ole Miss 600 yards"
"What will the melt be when X team beats LSU because their defense sucks"

Now the trolls are out saying "Man you are losing your DC" you suck again...
Which although possible is not confirmed.

Which is it?

Pick a side
Aranda good or bad?
Or is it whatever fits your narrative for the day...

Apparently, Munoz is a very trusted member of the staff. With Caleb Williams coming in on a recruiting visit in the fall, Munoz was handling business.

Personally thought the LSU defense improved over the year, especially over the last month of the season.

I think regardless of who your DC is unless he is horrible it still takes a toll on your defense replacing your coordinators. I think it’s why Saban holds on to Golding because we’ve had a new DC or OC or both changed every two years it seems.
